The constitution does not define our rights, it defines the limits on government. Our rights are granted by God not government, and government cannot take them away. Our government was established by and for us and was granted by us certain limited powers and only those limited powers. Our government serves at our pleasure to defend our nation and our rights. It does not RULE over us. BTTT!
Great post Jim.

You want some ideas besides seccesion and Civil War?
What about a bona fide tax revolt? Get the IRS out of your life.
One might railroaded into jail like martryed patriot, Irwin Schiff or one might be acquitted such as Atty. Cryer: Local Attorney acquitted of federal income tax charges
One can say what I'm proposing is risky and perhaps it is; however, it is a step or two below secession and Civil War (and in such a case "the Messiah" will be a reverse Lincoln fighting to put us into slavery).
Did someone ask for suggestions short of violence? I'm giving you one.

I think it may be possible to poison pill this legislation.
What Reid gave Nelson I would think would be a violation of The Fourteenth Amendment. If the republican Senators demanded equal protection (benefits) therefore it would make the bill so expensive it couldn't pass muster with the General accounting office.
