If the “Dinosaur Media” is losing revenue, how much revenue is the “new media” getting?
Is it in the billions? millions? hundreds of thousands? thousands? any revenue?
If not, it is probably premature to call the old media dinosaurs.

“This group included legal services advertisers — the 10th-biggest local TV advertiser — up 3.3%. Supermarkets and other food stores improved 3.7%, and household products such as soaps and cleaners were up 6.4%.”
People still need to bathe, eat, and sue ;-)

2010 U.S. Outlook: A Cross Industry Look at What Well Watch and Buy
First, Merry Christmas to you and yours, and best wishes for a happy and joyous New Year. Thanks for doing this thread, daily chronicaling the downward death spiral ( BTW, is that redundant, or an oxymoron?) of the MSM. It’s much appreciated. Small suggetsion..it might be fun to do some sort of year end thread...our favorite stories, or the dumbest thing said by a member of the MSM, or the weirdest headline....
I liked that toe tag thing we did for the Rocky Mountain (Spotted) News and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
From: Presses stopped forever at 140+ papers in 2009
(Or in other words, about 10 percent of the industry's titles went bust, not counting chains with multiple locations)
The Seattle PI?? The best thing that happened to that commie paper is their print ops went bankrupt and are now web-related.
The govm’t will save them!s/
Dear Networks, I do not watch any programming on any MSM network except for football. Thats it. If you need to downsize to fit your new business model, may I suggest you (1) kill every reality TV show on, (2) kill every lame attempt at a sitcom, (3) kill your news department or outsource it to India, (4) stop giving monicas to obamma at every turn, and (5) put on more football. If you need to fill space between the football games just re-run The Andy Griffith Show, Rockford Files, and Harry-O. I guarantee your ratings will go up. Sincerely - a former customer.
The lawsuit against Zell has merits, on the facts alone....when coupled with the climate of political hatred against old rich white guys, I suspect Zell will offer to settle...
I might add “Cannon” and “Barnaby Jones” to the re-run list. Oh yes - and “Yancy Derringer.”
The article speaks of revenue decrease.
One wonders, is the decrease from loss of sales or price cutting.
Who says Freepers aren’t green?..we are all 100% committed to saving as many trees as possible..
Yes, it has merits, but the money is gone. Zell will drag it out until they all die. One of the original plaintiffs was Jack Nelson, who died a couple of months ago.
