Yahoo is spying on you
WND ^ | 12/21/09 | Michael Carl

Yahoo.com is allegedly spying on its customers and acting as a proxy for U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

According to Wired.com, Yahoo also charges the agencies for the information. That means U.S. citizens' tax dollars are being used by federal agencies to pay for information gathered in Yahoo's spying.

A Yahoo customer who asked not to be identified became suspicious of Yahoo's operations when the image below appeared on his screen while downloading his e-mail.

Not true. You can pay for encrypted email service. I would never use Outlook.

Ya got that right..and ALL internet providers have yours and the person you are mailing to isp numbers. It is in the hidden header of every single internet provider email. Just look in your email program for long or full header..and low and behold..there it is. It shows your isp and that of every computer your email went thru to get to the person you sent it to..and includes theirs..and on your incoming mail, its the opposite way around..theirs first yours last...and they ALL will work with law enforcment when called upon.

Only a fool using the internet will think nobody can see their information. The net is an opened book. No matter where you use email..including your internet provider..will see your isp...just like they claim yahoo mail does. It was always this way and will always be this way.

Every forum you use allows the moderators to see your isp.

Any site you land on..can show info on you. Many times, there is a little obscure icon..on webpages, that allows the webmaster of that site..or the owner of a forum, not only able to see your isp..but how you got to their site (if you clicked on a link or if you had it bookmarked), they also can see what operating system you are using, what version and where in the world you live. Anyone can can put this info gathering gismo on their website..and its free.

You are NOT anonymous on the internet..far from it.

Yahoo and Google are not allowed on my computers PERIOD! I avoid them, I check my registry weekly to make sure nothing is there.

Look again; just about every page you view is tracked, as is this one. Here's the link from the bottom of this and all FR pages:

And every site you visit gives the info of your system:

Hey - they're from the government and they just want to help!

You see that little sign the guy is holding with the info? I have a personal forum and I see that info and more..using a tracker. And its everywhere..almost any site you land on..has some sort of info tracker. So..people who are avoiding yahoo or google because they think they are the only ones who can see them..think again. You dont want to be seen? Turn off the computer and watch tv. Last I heard, those people in the box, cant see you.

Nobody can hide completely but I can assure you that you can make it very hard. My computer tech does all of Dell’s work. He is the most knowledgable computer guy I’ve ever known. He comes once a month to check and clean my computers. There in no Google, Yahoo, Real Player, Quick Time, MSN, etc on any of my computers.
I always go through a proxy and use an encrypted email service.

First, that is not my IP. I just checked whatismyip.com so your info is wrong. Second, an IP means nothing if it is shared with thousands of others. Each time I log off and turn off my modem, my IP changes.

Hush mail. Encrypted. When they get the email, they have to go to Hushmail to open it and use the password you gave them.

Why? What ya hiding?

I personally dont care who sees what. If I did..a forum would be the last place I would come to. You are giving out your very thoughts on some serious topics.

That little guy holding the sign doesn’t mean sh*t if it says you are in Canada and you are sitting in Texas, Florida, etc. Who cares if they know you have XP and are using IE or FF. You and about a million others.
Where am I located, check my IP now and tell me. Guarantee you will be wrong.

That’s not the barrier you think it is. Whatever your IP address is, your provider must know it or you wouldn’t be able to connect to the net. Whatever your IP address is right now will be attached to all over your traffic and your provider will be able to tie it to your physical location should the police have a warrant. There is no anonymity on the internet, not really. That or you have your own satellite uplink and you’re hacking into the internet backbone.

Read what I said. I said I could do that on MY own personal forum..not here. However, I am sure whomever owns this forum can see it.

You only think you are hidden..with encryptions and cloaking etc. If someone wanted to find you..they will.

Amazing..you cant get anywhere with your argument..so you stoop to name calling.

You arent safe..you can be found..no matter what you are using, and I dont have to call you names to make my point.
