Since the etymology of 'holiday' is 'Holy Day', the next time someone wishes you 'Happy Holidays' instead of 'Merry Christmas', you can say, 'Thank you, this IS indeed a very happy Holy Day - when Christ was born. Merry Christmas to you as well!'....
