This doesn't happen often but I am thankful to China.
Sanity must be a fickle spirit that appears where ever and whenever it feels like it. Whatever moves it it's a welcome breeze when it comes.

What really surprises me is that the Chicoms seem to be negotiating in good faith. If I were calling the shots for China, I'd agree to the most draconian enviro-wacko CO2 cuts possible.
The Chinese can just lie about meeting the greenhouse gas targets and laugh while the westerners run their countries into bankruptcy.
