To: My Favorite Headache
Of all the great books available to read, I hated that I was forced to read “Rules for Radicals,” in order that I might decide for myself if all the negative things that I heard people say about Alinsky were true. Friends, if you want something to make the hair on the back of your neck stand up, read “Rules for Radicals.” His first chapter on ethics makes “Mein Kampf” look tame. Basically, it is a repudiation of Objective Morality. The ends always justifies the means. The goal is for the redistribution of national wealth. How you achieve that does not matter. If you have to lie, cheat, steal, or kill to achieve that ends, that is perfectly moral or ethical behavior. It is rather obvious that Alinsky contradicts his own views on objective morality. He has a very well defined objective morality in that all means should be employed to help the poor, e.g. his dogmatic belief of economic justice for the poor. The way that you do this is by deception and ultimately force. Obama is a perfect example of Alinsky’s teachings. Obama’s rhetorical generalities in which he hid behind patriotic and religious symbols and refusing to give details or goals, is straight out of Alinsky. We are living in very dangerous times.

Reading Rules for Radicals is a torturous read, no doubt. Knowing that Obama was essentially nursed at the teats of Saul himself should make the Rules primary reading.

The first rule of war is to know your enemy.
