O rips the American way
The New York Post ^ | December 25, 2009 | Charles Hurt

Increasingly unloved and ridiculed from both sides, a new and embittered President Obama is emerging this Christmas season as he begins a badly needed vacation in Hawaii.

In an interview on the eve of yesterday's health-care ram-through, Obama expressed his deep frustration over the legislative process.

The president accused Republicans of abuse for employing the very rules that make the Senate the "world's greatest deliberative body."

"If this pattern continues, you're going to see an inability on the part of America to deal with big problems in a very competitive world, and other countries are going to start running circles around us," Obama warned.

What he is saying is that other governments around the world -- those tyrannical states that do not share our respect for the minority -- are better forms of government, better equipped to compete in this modern world.

I figured you were.
I was just supplying some 'shoot back' ammo to any folks caught in a conversation about the O's background cred...which is slim to nil.

From the article: Since his arrival on the national stage, Obama has been blessed with adversaries who overplay their hand claiming he is a "Manchurian candidate" out to destroy America from inside. Obama won last year's historic election by rising above that nonsense. His casting aspersions on the very genius of the American government because he can't get his way is cause for alarm.

This author -- like so many -- has good insight but completely chokes on his political correctness: He wants to be darn sure that nobody confuses him with those yahoos who talk about Manchurian candidates and such. What difference really does it make if Obama was deliberately programed to embed himself and then destroy the American system or if he just absorbed a relentless anti-Americanism and is now just doing what comes naturally. The author is right, his word were frightening. Damn frightening. (I am referring to Wednesday's PBS News Hour interview, which is available online. It was stunning. He may have said pretty much the same thing in his Washington Post interview and elsewhere.)

I agree.

He’s been groomed and programed since he hit high school.

I, too, am more afraid of the machine that put there than he himself.

His entire life(and michelle’s) have been about “movin’ on up”. He was willing to do anything to get there.

Those who put him there played him like a fiddle. They are accomplishing their agenda without having to reveal themselves.

If you thought Bill Clinton was a popular ex-pres, wait until this guy hits the campus circuit. He’ll not demand huge appearance fees, he’s gonna’ charge admission, and want a piece of the gate.

I just hope this country survives him.

Whether or not Obama is a natural born citizen, he is exactly what the founding fathers had in mind when they inserted that requirement. Obama views the US like an envious and resentful Third Worlder. He is not a product of traditional America and traditional values. The founders knew that requirement was needed, as Obama proves most every day.

This is his third vacation in a year. Must be nice to be King and Messiah.

I'll be thrilled to get a paid vacation next year, which will be my first in three years. For the record, I don't count the six months I spent unemployed during 2009.

I have a lot to celebrate today. Besides my family, I'm extremely thankful to have started a two-year contract job this week. I'll be praying for similar good fortune to those that are hurting during these difficult times.

He was singled out and groomed. His past is being guarded to this day due to the influence of those who elevated him.

Spot on.

The first time I saw him in the senate I knew he was a goon. (I thought Farrakhan) Had no idea at the time he would run for president.

Never ignore your gut instinct.

The one thing that the “O” truly hates, is the Constitution. It is the one thing that stands between him & becoming another Castro. He is a hate filled human being. And it is becoming more obvious by the day.Look for him to try & circumvent the Constitution anyway he can in the coming months.

Barack the Jerk blames everyone but himself. Less than admirable. In fact, I don’t see what any voters ever saw in him, ever.

Why Hawaii when Camp David serves the purpose for Presidential retreats? Bush went to his humble ranch too in Tx.a pretty cost-effective vacation.
I detest alotting taxpayer money for a lavish vacation this President frankly does not deserve.

He's a creature of academic marxists, the foundations who endow them, and in turn the transnational billionaires who fund them.

It'd be easy to tinfoil that observation by running with the beliefs of the various, wacky pariah groups that have made similar claims over the past century or so, but it's fairly evidently so.

And so, here we are. What to make of it, and what to do about it? Feels like a trap that's been being set for a very long time.

"socialists/statists in the Senate have floated to the top like pond scum"

More like turds in the national punch bowl, if you ask me.

The GOP bless their hearts threw Alan Keyes under the bus to get this Dictator wannabe elected...

That's a stretch!

He’s losing it.

We were supposed to be in socialist nirvana by now, and we would be if it weren’t for those darned American patriots and their silly Constitutional ideals.

“I personally will have my pistol on my hip.”

An error that I mayself make.

Of course you’d be wearing the pistol. But always grab the rifle when investigating.

I prefer the 16” AR with a thirty rounder, but I’m sure that there are other good choices.

Most Americans would be happy and better off if the Congress for the next 3 years would spend a few days and pass the basic bills to run the Federal government and then go home.
