LOS ANGELES—A couple who said they were assaulted by Gene Simmons sued the KISS bassist for unspecified damages Thursday, court records show.
Nathan Marlowe and his wife Cynthia Manzo said Simmons attacked them, threatened them and took their video camera at the upscale The Grove mall on Saturday after they started filming the rocker.

Gene is pretty laid back I can’t picture him doing that.
And he isn’t a liberal.

I am with you . The couple must have been up to something . No normal people would want a picture of anyone from Kiss .

He also seems like a shrewd businessman who’d understand that such behavious has repercussions.
Saturday at an upscale mall. Would such a place likely be quite busy on the Saturday before Christmas? Witnesses should abound.
I have to agree. He doesn’t seem like the type of person that would do something like that. Must be more to the story.
Gene Simmons get mad at someone taking his picture? I don’t believe it.
This lawsuit is such a waste of time. I hope it never goes to court, and if it does, that they would lose. It's as if they set him up just so they could make a quick buck.

Why would anybody that actually knows who Gene Simmons is ask his views on monogamy. On the list of things commonly known about Gene his complete lack of interest in monogamy should be #2 or 3 on the list.

Methinks these two deliberately provoked Gene into taking a swipe at them. He's pretty laid back and will generally do anything to please his fans.
I agree and hope he has people there who saw what happened. If he acted like this then I’d bet they were making PITA’s of themselves before this happened or his kids were there and they were being obnxious?
Any time this sort of news happens, it can be one of two things:
1) People who got in the way of the “Do you know who I am?” star’s massive ego
or
2) People who egged on a confrontation with a celeb, hoping they’d push back so they can take him to court.
You never know which is true until the facts start dribbling out.

Long story short- I’ve been listening to Diana Krall a lot this week; she is married to Elvis Costello, and I was curious to research the allegations that Elvis was an anti-Semite (which he apparently is not ) and came across the above info.

Sounds to me like this couple may have been trying to push his buttons and get a reaction.
