EDITORIAL: The war on Christmas escalates
The Washington Times ^ | December 25, 2009

Mariah Jordat, 8, was reading her Bible during quiet time at Madison Park Elementary School in Oldbridge, N.J., when her teacher told her to put the book away. Mariah put her Bible under her desk, but that wasn't away enough. The teacher banished the book to the student's backpack. The persecution hurt her feelings and confused her, said Michelle Jordat, the little girl's mother. "Why would my teacher say that I can't read the Bible when I'm not bothering anybody else?"

It's ridiculous for a school to forbid a child, let alone one at such an impressionable age, to read the Bible during her free time, as the principal now admits. The school's mission statement says it wants to develop a child's uniqueness - an effort that can't likely be achieved by squelching her reading interests. If anything, Mariah ought to be applauded for the extraordinary maturity she probably has for someone of such a tender age, but in too many places, it would be more likely that she would be forced into remedial "diversity" training.

Little Mariah isn't alone. Earlier this month, a Massachusetts second-grader was suspended after drawing what his school said was a "violent" picture of Jesus Christ on the cross. Before he was permitted to return to the classroom, the boy had to undergo a psychiatric evaluation at his family's expense.

In study period, you study the classes you take at school! What is so wrong with this concept? Study Hall at least when I was in school was for text books only.

I might agree with you if this period was in fact a study period. But it was not. Here is what the Superintendent of schoos said: "The youngster didn't do anything wrong,'' said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Simon M. Bosco. "It's fine to bring a Bible to school as long as you're reading it when you have private, individual, independent reading." So argue with him.

Maybe it was a time to read what you wished? If it’s “quiet time” aren’t kids allowed to do what they wish as long as they don’t disturb others?

The Christian bible shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a public institution. It should be especially frowned upon when it is in the possession of a young child within the school. It is filled with ideas that are against the revolution which would hinder indoctrination. It should therefore be banned from any public instituion since banning it would coincide with the separation of church and state.

Anyone who does not like that edict should put his tail between his legs and retire to his politically neutral church. If he chooses to have a politically active church then he should be ready for confiscatory taxation.

War on Christianity, just like the Communists waged after they got power.

This is the same thing.

For seventy plus years the Communists have made a concerted effort to secretly and incrementally take over this country. The have almost accomplished that. Under Communism the Commandment, "Thou shall have no other God before me" relates to the Communist Party which in turn controls the state.

They have made a pact with the Muslims, since both have the same ends, world domination, and both use the same tactics, lies and stealth, to work together to that end. Read David Horowitz's Unholy Alliance for the details.

Favoring Muslims over Christians does two things - it gives impressionable kids the idea that Islam is superior and the only accepted religion and it sows discord among thinking adults. Discord is a common Communist tactic.

That is what feminism was about, that is what the agitation and support of black activists is about, that is what the homosexual agenda is about and all that together gives us the doctrines of political correctness, diversity, hate crimes and affirmative action.

With rampant discord the masses are inclined to turn to the government for a solution. That is what they want, government control. An observant person can easily see that all problems for which the government demands a solution are problems the government created in the first place.

With the knowledge of the Communists goals and their plans for achieving them all this nonsense makes perfect sense. Read Communist Goals and research The Frankfurt School for the details. Then read Saul Allinshy's Rules for Radicals for tactics and watch it all unfold before your eyes.

Keep in mind that Obama was mentored by the Communist Frank Marshall Davis at an early age. He called him Uncle Frank in his book. He was then taught and raised some more by Muslims. In the USA his closets associates were avowed Communists like Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn and other Leftsits affiliations Like the Trinity Unite Church of Christ and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

I will not blast you for your opinion. However, It may be that she was already done with her school work and then in the free time she read her Bible. How dare you label her a spoiled brat without having all of the facts.

Thanks for the post. I had to go back and read my post to see what I said. Looking at my post, I put spoiled brat perhaps. That is a question that could be a possibility. I certainly did not call her a spoiled brat. Have a good one.
