Senator Max Baucus Drunk / Intoxicated on Senate Floor - Shouts Down Wicker
You Tube ^ | 12/23/2009

Baucus is drunker than a skunk, but I'm just as upset as him railing on the Republicans not being "Bi-Partisan" on healthcare.

Other than that, funny (and sad sad sad) stuff.

Think of it this way.
There is no bipartisan support for the Health Care bill.
But there is bipartisan opposition to it.

Mississippians need to send Senator Wicker a cane so he can be prepared the next time someone shouts at him.

It’s pretty damn obvious where this drunk bass turd gets his “courage” from. Throw the bums out. They can all crawl back into the bottle where they belong.

Happy to know I am not alone, what a lowlife liar. But it sounds like some of the statists are getting worried. Now if we can just keep the coward element of the Republican party on board, the pressure might get to be more than some can handle.

Oddly, this could be a sign that Max retains some small morsels of character. Most Democrats are able to lie like that cold sober.

He sure does:

Looking at the millions of Americans it leaves uninsured, and the millions it leaves with worse treatment and reduced access, and the millions it makes pay significantly more for their current health care, one can only marvel at Harry Reid’s genius: government health care turns out to be all government and no health care.

"Mark Steyn sums it all up!"

That's right.

It's not about the cost.

It's not about the public option.

It's not about the death panels.

It's about Socialized Medicine.

It's about the state over the individual.

Good Lord, what a rambling wreck. If this is normal the folks of Montana need to rethink how he is in such a position.

You won’t miss a thing if you *forget* to watch it. I watched for less than a minute...then heard him say “bi-par-son” (instead of bi-partisan) and clicked it off!

He’s definitely a loon!

Hope you had a Merry Christmas!

Baucus is drunker than a skunk...

He's slurring a few words, yes, but the speech as a whole is coherent in content - at least by by Democrat standards - though unnecessary and vituperative.

Unfortunately, there is probably no Breathalyzer equipment in the Senate chamber to test him and we can't see if he can walk a straight line on the video. Nor can we get a whiff of his breath.

As for the possibility of intoxication via a substance other than alcohol, you would have to do the appropriate medical tests to check for that.

Does Baucus have a reputation as a big boozer?

Picking up Teddy's Torch?

Remember that the elderly Robert Byrd gave an unnecessary dedication of his "Aye" vote on the health care monstrosity to the late Ted Kennedy. So it wouldn't surprise me that some of Senate 'Rats celebrated the passage of their noxious health care bill by emulating their fallen martyr.
