Napolitano: "The system worked"
DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said that the thwarting of the attempt to blow up the Amsterdam-Detroit flight this week demonstrated that "the system worked."
Asked by CNN's Candy Crowley on "State of the Union" how that could be possible when the young Nigerian who sought to set off the bomb was able to smuggle explosive liquid onto the flight, Napolitano responded: "We're asking the same questions."
Napolitano added that there was "no suggestion that [the bomber] was improperly screened."
The bomber was "properly screened" if you're Al Qeada.That's what Janet meant.
They need to grow a backbone and go after her for her stupid comments now and her previous statement that terrorism is now called “man-made disasters.”
If she thinks the system worked, then she will not try to make the system better.
There's more to this story. And they will try and keep it covered up.
How many “make work” jobs do we have to give these ugly women. And by Ugly I mean their left wing views.
Remember one of these ugly women also destroyed the University of Miami.

It is a sobering thing to contemplate- this woman is in charge of our safety.

Per some threads yesterday, and eyewitness said that another ‘Indian’ was taken into custody AFTER the plane landed. Per the eyewitness, the guy was said to have a bomb in his luggage.
[None of the major news venues seem to be mentioning that 2nd bomber.]
The rest of the Admin is just as stupid as she is for not muzzling her. I guess they all agree with her irrational thinking.
I'm sorry but for people to keep saying this is wrong. The courageous young man(and he was)acted after the fact. He had know way of knowing the perp was going to set off and bomb and if the bomb had gone off as intended, the passengers would have all been toast.
To keep saying that anything worked to keep this bomb from going off is just playing into the communist talking points. Nothing worked, the guy smuggled explosives onto a plane, he tried to detonate it but due to his stupidity, or a poorly constructed bomb, it didn't go off as intended. The only thing that worked was terrorist incompetence. Napolitano should resign immediately, and so should Bozo the WH clown.
She’s correct. The system allows muslim terrorists on board planes with explosives because they’re not allowed to check young muslim men between the ages of 18-35 any more than old women, so in that sense, she’s correct.

The terrorists’ system worked flawlessly except for the bomb being a dud. That must be what the dummie was talking about.

AmericanInTokyo is saying the same thing. No one here believes the “system” worked.
I heard on the news last night that one of the new "security measures" will be that AA will no longer be distributing blankets and pillows on international flights... You know, because he was trying to hide what he was doing under the blanket... They're also talking about not allowing passengers out of their seats, to access the carry-on luggage bins, or to hold anything on their laps during the last hour of the flight. I'm not sure if this is really true, you know how far you can trust the media, but if it is true, this is yet another example of idiocy in the name of "security."
That would be because terrorists only do their evil deeds during the last hour of the flight... That'll stymie them!
