BamBam is full of pretensions.

I think the whole thing while deadly in itself, might have been a probing mission and we failed badly. It was a complete US intelligence SNAFU from the getgo.

Have we done enough to shut down Bush’s terror war and return to BamBam’s respect for Islam yet.

In this case, Amsterdam officials were responsible for all screening of this passenger. So, I don’t know what Napolitano is referring to when she says ‘The system worked’. What system, Amsterdams?

Between restrictions and cap & trade, no one will be flying soon.

This isn’t a threat to be dealt with by broadcast universal denial of liberty and freedom. The terrorist already succeeded because he has successfully cost his adversary millions of dollars of attention and distraction from anything else and refocused it upon himself and whatever his association.

He was willing to die, but got the infamy he desired and continued to live with a few third degree burns. (Why does Obama at the beach come to mind?)

**Since it now takes basically an entire day lost for travel, my fly/drive timeline just moved out to about 12 hr drive. **

My fly/drive timeline just dropped to ZERO.. If they don’t have SHIPS to EUROPE... I won’t be going any time soon.

Anyone needs me to travel will need to do consider DRIVING TIME...that INCLUDES the gang on the WEST COAST...

Unless I can “PROTECT MYSELF” on an Airplane... I’m NOT GETTING ON.

They did point out that this person could have gone to the bathroom and exploded the device there. Or he could go to the bathroom an hour before the end of the flight and come back to their seat to explode the device 30 minutes before landing.

There is nothing in these new rules that changes his ability to set off a bomb. They only make me feel like not flying anymore. A vacation seems like to much of a drag.

“Profiling MUST be done!”

You’re right. This PC game will be responsible for more deaths. Why should 100% of travelers suffer just to avoid offending a few suspicious characters? Incredible!

One of our youngest male relatives, who can handle himself very well in emergencies, has to fly a lot.

As I have posted in the past few weeks, he and similiar young relatives and friends, who fly a lot, have noticed that the flight attendants are repositioning them on aisle seats, by the exits and even moving them up to first class for free. This was a common occurrence for them when flying post 9/11. After this event, this will be even more common.

This guy has a great sense of humor. He said after the liberals in charge of TSA add new requirements for the Christians and Jews and veterans flying. His new flying outfit would be an all cotton terry cloth robe without the belt. Underwear would be banned and he would be barefoot. He would have a passport/id holder hanging in front covering a critical area. His tickets would be in a cloth holder covering his butt crack. He would probably have to be barefoot wearing a simple pair of foot thongs.

He has several flights scheduled after New Years, so he has some time to get his new flying outfit ready.

After all the hard work it took the muslims within the TSA to get the muslim terrorists and their explosives through the screening process and on the aircraft the TSA just cannot have these meddling civilians randomly jumping up and interrupting their work.

You know who's name is gonna’ disappear soon? The guy who wresteled him down and saved the plane.

The #1 hero of the “War On Terror” was the stewardess (uh ... “Flight Attendant”) who miraculously saved the day with the shoe bomber. But, she wasn't a government stooge, so we should pay no attention. Only government can protect us! Remove your shoes!

BTW - if either of those bombs had gone off, it would have been “pilot error”. What did they call it in Queens?

As we all know – thanks to being told so by successive administrations — Islam is the religion of peace*. Thanks to the actions of one brave passenger — who fully understood that he had nothing to lose — this incident remained a small one.

Thanks to PC and the chronic disease known as “Cranial Anal Inversion Syndrome” among most alleged American “leaders” all the way up to the White Mosque — er — House, this “small” incident — and all like it in the future — will disappear down the Orwellian memory hole.

I suspect the primary cause of the failure to put this guy – and only God knows how many more — on a no-fly list is that the folks down the food chain and on the ground who are SUPPOSED to keep these MUSLIM idiots off commercial flights are severely conflicted. On one hand, they are tasked to keep flying safe. On the other, they’ve all had multiple memos and “sensitivity sessions” stressing that they MUST NOT PROFILE but be especially alert to the feelings of Muslims. Any actions taken against them MUST be fully justified and documented. The vernacular expression dealing with that is “CYA.” And so they do — while the rest of us die or, thanks to the actions of a passenger, have a very close call on approach to Detroit.

Compounding the problem is that this particular miscreant was not only a Muslim but a black guy from Nigeria. And the American president is _________ (fill in the correct color) and, having been born to a Muslim father and raised in a Muslim country, sympathetic to the religion of _________. (fill in the appropriate term).

The response to this near-tragedy? Fatherland Security now keeps passengers in their seats for the last hour of the trip!! Great! I suspect sales of Depends will soon spike. Now these folks will die at 35,000 feet and the wreckage will be strewn over hundreds of square miles making it virtually impossible to determine if it WAS an act of mass murder by (select one) an angry Norwegian, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, a Muslim nutcase. A few more of these and the air travel industry will be COMPLETELY dead.

By their INACTION and persistence in their denial that we are at war with a determined and dedicated enemy, these alleged “leaders” have 100% guaranteed that the next one will NOT be “small.”
* BTW, “peace” has two definitions:
1. The absence of conflict or war.
2. The ABSENCE or SUPPRESSION OF RESISTANCE TO SOME FORCE, POLICY, IDEOLOGY or POLITICAL SYSTEM, etc. WITH WHICH ONE HAS AN ABIDING DISAGREEMENT WHICH ONE WOULD OTHERWISE ATTEMPT TO DEFEAT TO THE POINT OF TAKING UP ARMS.

Did you see Greta when the guy mentioned Detroit having the largest Muslim population and linking that to the guys flying in to their airport? She didn’t get it and acted thoroughly disgusted. I fly out of Detroit often and I am always nervous at that airport, I have to pass two mosques on I75 just to get there!

"ELAL Airlines Profiles and they don’t seem to have any Terrorist Problems."

A man from Israel was just on TV and said this terrorist would have never been on a plane leaving Israel.

I travel a fair bit domestically and travel international 2 - 3 times per year.

Based on my personal observations when going through security, guess where I believe it is the worst?

Yep, Chicago (o’hare). They (the TSA) don’t flat give a damn. Check in lines are super long and yet, several are standing around wanting to go on break.

I have applied to the Global Online Enrollment System (GOES: https://goes-app.cbp.dhs.gov/common/globalentry_info.html) to hopefully ease the BS one encounters with customs and some idiotic passengers (especially the foreigners who get in the line that clearly say US citizen only) when arriving on an international flight. I had to pay $100 and will have my interview with DHS next month in Dallas. If this saves me from not missing one connecting flight in the future, this might be a good move. Time will tell.
