So instead of excluding passengers who are already being investigated as terrorism risks, in this case because the man's OWN FATHER reported him, let's inconvenience everyone! If Congressional Republicans don't call BS on this, they are truly useless.

Having been treated to the extra special search service once because I set off a metal detector in Kansas City (where they are set "very sensitive") with something (could have been under-items, my Scapular or my Crucifix. Maybe all three, who knows) while there for a commuter flight, I'm now rather appalled that I probably won't be able to read a book, let alone get up to use the rest room or avoid blood clots the next time I go to Europe. Go after the people who seriously look like trouble, not 4'11" women in long skirts.

This is getting ridiculous. At this point, I'd rather check all luggage and chance not having a change of clothes and other personal items on the other end.

The best way to not “inconvenience” 99% of travelers is to screen every Muslim who boards an airplane and comes to the United States. That would make everyone secure.
