OH NO! we can’t profile...it will tamper with someone’s civil rights. How about skeletal screening. No more bombs between the legs, no more syringes. I’m all for not allowing anyone to carry luggage into the passenger section. I put up with those for years and I feel sorry for the flight attendents who are doing it today. Money clips and passports are all one needs in the cabin.

“I put up with those for years.”

What did you do when flying standby?

Not.

Business traveler here. . . no checked bag, small carry-on (that is why gawd made hotel laundry). Land and get the heck out of the airport instead of standing around in some cattle pen waiting for luggage that MAY show up.

No checked bags, no lost luggage, no surly line of angry passengers and even more surly and angry lost luggage personnel.

It is the tourist passenger that abuses carry on as they trundle aboard over-packed, over-loaded and looking every bit the bag-lady they are.

I HAD a trip to CA in a few weeks.

Cancelled due to the silliness of these “new” rules, and this nonsense about screening practices to be unpredictable, right, like I believe that. . .they just can’t get it right and they will now be out of control profiling old ladies, the Amish but never a muslime.
