You posted the seating chart for a Boeing 767-300.
The NWA flight this terrorist was on was an Airbus 300.

I believe he was pointing out the location of the ‘shoe bomber’s’ location on his flight.....a 767.

He showed the location of seat 19A, where the Detroit bomber sat.

I could be wrong....but I believe that Reid sat in row 19 on his 767 flight.....

I’m sure he thought of that on his own.

I think it’s also likely that the time of the detonation (just before landing) was chosen to maximize ground casualties.

More than likely....
Either that or it took him that long to get his courage up.

Excellent point. All of my international travel is booked by the group admin. I can request aisle or window, only.....come to think of it...... Mine too, but once you've got your "identifier", many airlines allow you to switch seats, on line. American does, Continental too, IIRC.

These two planes are fairly close in both design and form, because they are about the same sized aircraft and use the same engine configuration.
I assert that Flight 800 in 1996 was detonated in virtually the same spot, but in that case the entire front of the aircraft fuselage separated and the wings separated immediately afterward.
