Almost a year has passed since January 20, 2009 -- when the waters of the ocean no longer rose and America began to heal from the depredations of Republicans. Barack Obama has been our president for that long, and the people have started to wise up.
The light that shines on Barack Obama as president has reflected back an image that bears very little similarity to the iconic visage that floated above us all in 2008. Why has Barack Obama betrayed so many allies, broken so many promises, thrown so many pledges and people under the bus?
One simple aphorism (paraphrasing Winston Churchill) can explain it all. Barack Obama is no longer a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. Much about his past remains murky, but faced with the need to govern, he has given the American people plenty of evidence of his nature...if only they will look.
Obama is a cynic wrapped in a hypocrite inside a bully.

I know you’re right, but I don’t think people ‘get it’ quite yet.
Their shoes aren’t pinching enough. Not enough PAIN involved for the avareage American at this stage, yet.
But, it’s coming...
God Help Us All.
“He’s a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham.”
From the American Thinker.
When this type of article pops up in the NYT, then I’ll think there’s hope America will wake from it’s Obama fantasy. Until then, I consider the average American to be one of the dumbest creatures on the planet.
You are correct, I know mild libs that are still proclaiming his majesty, even when I throw out the crap he is doing. I am still hearing, “well do you want me to talk about Bush...” Makes one sick.
The response to that is, “Let’s talk about carter, shall we?”
He’s a POS, wrapped in a stool, inside a turd.
It’s funny how they think they just have to mention the name Bush, and it takes the wind out of everyone’s sails.
When someone brings up Bush to me, I just ask them to pinpoint exactly what he did that was so wrong, so damaging. His spending was nothing compared to the goof in the oval office now. At least he was a man, and you felt like someone was actually trying to protect America. Bush didn’t try to appease the enemy, he understood the evil he was dealing with.
Topics discussed on this site, and the background behind those topics, are known to a minuscule number of Americans. IMHO, people prefer suffering to even the hint of controversy.
Most people in my neighborhood have no idea who their local officials even are, don't want to know about the local, state, or national issues, and resent anyone who brings them up in conversation.
Politics are impolitic.
I hear comments such as “Things were so bad, it’s only been a year, let’s give him a chance”. Or “I’m still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt”. So, not so much hero worship anymore, but a sort of cheer-for-his-efforts mentality. I don’t think they’ll ever admit, or even understand, he’s nothing more than a hardcore marxist.
You are 100% correct, none of them will ever admit they made a mistake voting for the biggest mistake of all!
