The superiors that directly heard the complaints about him and yet chose to promote/relocate him, rather than investigate/dishonorably discharge him.

...or how about General Casey that believes diversity is the most important thing in the army, even more important than soldiers lives.

The whole freaken' PC left society we are living in now.

...and I have news for you, George W did not create the ignorant, idiotic PC-ness that allowed this monster to move up in the ranks of the army!

It isn’t news to me - I never said he created it.
I’m simply puzzled as to how it survived and festered even after 9/11.

They are going to hit us soon. I hope they are dumb enough to hit our government, because if they massacre 10,000 civilians, our Government will not give a shit.

So - 8 years after 9/11, we couldn’t connect the dots within our own military?

Really?

Why?

Because our institutions have been infected with this cancer to an extent that even those of us who have been aware of it never realized. We allowed a jihadist to counsel veterans returning from a war against jihaists. Admittedly, that's beyond insane. It's a sign of a seriously suicidal nation.

I just know that much of this madness was beyond Bush's control. Trying to change these institutions is like trying to turn a cruise ship around on a dime. It has to be done slowly, methodically... the same way they were conquered by the left.

If I have to fault Bush with anything, it's that he didn't understand the purely satanic influence over the modern Democrat party. He believed they were all Americans acting in the best interest of the country and that they could be worked with. He was wrong. They were, and are, evil incarnate.

So, no, he wasn't perfect. But that's a far cry from pinning the blame for Hasan on him. He underestimated the left and the extent of how truly evil they really are. But he was a genuinely decent man who loves this country, which makes him the antithesis of 0bama... so I see no good reason to be consistent and attack them with an even hand. Bush deserves some benefit of the doubt. 0bama does not.

OK - I can go along with you on that.
We aren’t as far apart on this as you think FRiend.

That’s good to hear. It’s always nice to be able to find common ground.

Have a Happy New Year.

Can anyone tell me who was pushing for the detainees to be released from Gitmo at the time these two “artists” were released? Which members of Congress? Once they were released from Gitmo, were they not the reponsibility of the Saudi government? Lib set-up

Was watching a "Gangland" program a few months back, about one of the big gangs in Chicago, and they showed how back in the 70's these thugs were sitting in classes doing "artwork". The black cop talking during this segment was absolutely incredulous that his own government was paying for these criminals' "idiotucation" (my word, not his)--and not doing one damned thing to help his police force do their job.

My reaction to this was just like yours: SAY WHAT????

Sigh - now they are going to blame Bush...

Who was ultimately responsible at the time for their release?
