This woman must be mentally ill, NJ has a Safe Haven Law where one can leave a baby at a Hospital or police station with no questions asked.  She was a few miles away from a Catholic Hospital and the Police Department and could have saved her baby by dropping him off at St. Joseph's Hospital in Wayne.
