President Obama and the first lady released this statement honoring those celebrating Kwanzaa:
“Michelle and I send warm wishes to all those celebrating Kwanzaa this holiday season. This is a joyous time of year when African Americans and all Americans come together to celebrate our blessings and the richness of our cultural traditions. This is also a time of reflection and renewal as we come to the end of one year and the beginning of another. The Kwanzaa message tells us that we should recall the lessons of the past even as we seize the promise of tomorrow.
“The seven principles of Kwanzaa -- Unity, Self Determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity, and Faith -- express the values that have inspired us as individuals and families; communities and country. These same principles have sustained us as a nation during our darkest hours and provided hope for better days to come. Michelle and I know the challenges facing many African American families and families in all communities at this time, but we also know the spirit of perseverance and hope that is ever present in the community. It is in this spirit that our family extends our prayers and best wishes during this season and for the New Year to come.”

Naaah. Right after 0bamacare was voted on by the senate he had to pack Air Farce 0ne for the Hawaii getaway. He did issue a statement when one of his surfer buds got konked on the head with a board, and then 3 days after a failed terrorist attack.
But really didn't everyone here just love the fawning coverage ABC had of the "beach house" for a measley $4000.00 taxpayer dollars a day.
Now before some people get their noses out of joint about how I'm ragging on Zer0 for taking a much needed rest and how Bush, Reagan and Clinton all took vacations , I'm not upset that he went away. What is troubling is that we had an attempted terrorist attack and no word from the pres__ent for 3 days. Not to mention, the ONLY thing that seems to excite this pres__ent is when he gets some budget busting bill passed , when he's speaking before a union or some leftist crowd about some grievance against the US (shout out to chief Medicine Cloud). When asked for any Christmas message for the troops it seems like it's just an afterthought. I don't know, perception is everything, and this poser comes off as a self absorbed narcissistic, uncaring elitist snob.
So african americans sit around and celebrate all the tribal warring and selling each other (Wwell, the losers anyway) off to slave masters during Kwanzaa?
