if she paid $635 for that pair of shoes...she was taken big time. I wouldn’t wear them anyway as there is no style to them but...if I did wear them I might give $9.95 but no more. $635????? Sinful.
Them is some ug-uh-ly shoes. If one is going to spend a fortune on shoes, they should at least be cute. I know - I am a shoe-a-holic. . .at least that’s what my husband says.

At least half the cost of those horseshoes is after-purchase labor. They look even worse with the bells & whistles and back-up beepers required by the Department of Transportation to warn people to get out of the way.
Honestly, I'm genuinely surprised that she would even consider these shoes, given that the designer refers to the leather strap as being "nude." I would have thought Michelle would find offense in the description of the color of the strap as being "nude" in color. Didn't Crayola have to change the name of one of their crayons from "nude" to "peach-or-something" because Blacks said that the word nude had different meanings depending upon race?
It looks to me like these shoes are meant to be word by someone with much lighter skin than Michelle, and the strap is meant to be nearly invisible.
I just find it curious, that's all. Of course, I have little to no fashion sense myself ... loving jeans and sweatshirts as I do!

Those shoes, and their designer and manufacturer are RAAAACIST.
The “nude” strap is obviously intended for a more melin challenged wearer. How RAAAACIST.
I personnally see a Class Action suit and damages in the offing.

In a nod to his first home state, President Barack Obama will host the first-ever Hawaii-style luau on the White House lawn, complete with real Island cuisine, hula and music. The Thursday luau is pretty much all the Hawaii-born-and-raised president’s idea—his revamping, of sorts, of the annual White House Congressional picnic for members of Congress and their families.
Award-winning Hawaii-based chef Alan Wong is crafting the luau’s menu of contemporary Hawaiian cuisine, making use of as much Island-grown produce as he can get to D.C. The chef’s Honolulu eatery, Alan Wong’s Restaurant, has been a favorite dinner choice of the Obama’s on recent visits to Oahu.
