Obama gives foreign cops new police powers in U.S.

A little-discussed executive order from President Obama giving foreign cops new police powers in the United States by exempting them from such drudgery as compliance with the Freedom of Information Act is raising alarm among commentators who say INTERPOL already had most of the same privileges as diplomats.

At David Horowitz's Newsreal, Michael van der Galien said the issue is Obama's expansion of President Ronald Reagan's order from 1983 that originally granted those diplomatic privileges.

Reagan's order carried certain exemptions requiring that INTERPOL operations be subject to several U.S. laws such as the Freedom of Information Act. Obama, however, removed those restrictions in his Dec. 16 amendment to Executive Order 12425.

That means, van der Galien wrote today, "this foreign law enforcement organization can operate free of an important safeguard against government and abuse

Wait’ll he brings in UN troops because American soldiers won’t fire on American citizens.

We should get a pool started;

Who will be the first american citizen arrested on US soil by an interpole cop, and removed from the US to stand trial for war crimes ?

Dick Cheney, or some un-named CIA operative for 'torture' (a.k.a. waterboarding).

“American” soldiers might not, but what about these...

The ‘incident’ at ft. Hood also comes to mind.

Soldiers sworn in as U.S. citizens

[snip]”Immigrant soldiers receive expedited naturalization. A recent report from the Immigration Policy Center said that as of June 30 there were 114,601 foreign-born individuals serving in the U.S. armed forces or about 7.91 percent of the 1.4 million military personnel on active duty.

And between Oct. 1, 2008 and Sept. 30, 2009, 10,505 immigrant soldiers became citizens, the report said.

* An overwhelming majority (69 percent) of people in Mexico thought that the primary loyalty of Mexican-Americans (Mexico- and U.S.-born) should be to Mexico. Just 20 percent said it should be to the United States. The rest were unsure.

Wait'll they see landscape dotted with ventilated blue helmets.

Yeah, well American citizens will most certainly fire on UN troops. Count on it.

When it comes to fighting, the UN has some, shall we say....
“Reputational issues”.

About all they are good for is raping local women and small boys until they get some armed resistance, at which point they typically turn tail and run away.

There would not, hypothetically speaking of course, have to be many blue helmets perforated before one would have a really hard time finding any more of them about.

Actually I see them as a convenient source of supplies and equipment to be captured as easily as picking low hanging ripe plums.

What we might want to be wary of, however, is the Chicom PLA when Obozo invites them over to invade and occupy in order to collect on the collateral owed them upon default of our multi gazillion dollar mega loans. That would probably include all natural resources (wonder why we are not allowed to drill our own oil? It isn’t “ours” any more!) and other natural resources including crops and livestock.

Hope you like fish heads and stale rice, comrade.

You don’t suppose that some of the Trillion$ that just keep evaporating out of the US economy are going to hire a mercenary army of occupation, do you?

We hear that a lot of former Soviet Bloc soldiers are looking for gainful employment, and many of them, particularly Croatians, are working for various international “security” operations.

What about the million or so Islamic Hamaas thugs Obilbo is importing into the US from Gaza? What do you suppose he intends to use them for?

Do we think that the government has been ignoring the 35 or 40 active Islamic Jihad training camps here in the US (while US troops are dying to keep them from setting any camps up in Afghanistan) for lack of funding?
Basic training for Obama’s Islamic brownshirts, fellas.

How big an army does he have already covertly standing by while more US troops are shipped half way around the world out of sight out of mind - and unable to defend their countrymen and families from the barbarian hordes about to strike from within?

No, Mates; IMHO the UN is the least of our worries.

I wonder how long before these INTERPOL guys start enforcing some UN small arms banning treaty here in the US?

They might want to wait until after the American Redneck has been “pacified” by Obama’s brownshirts though... assuming that’s possible.

Don’t get to cocky though guys; it just might be.

We do not need defeatists such as you in any struggle that may come. Step aside, as you’ll just be in the way.
