This is Smoot-Hawley all over again. Don't we ever learn?

Folks, we're headed for a depression.

First we put all our steel mills out of business then we pull this bravado to fool us like they are are protecting us or something.

Aren’t they wonderful.

“This is Smoot-Hawley all over again. Don’t we ever learn?”

I learned it had nothing to do with the Depression. The belief it did was agitprop from the importing interests.

This is great news because we have so much steel production in USA anymore!!!

And the chinese are nice and sweet and we don’t owe them trillions of dollars.

I hope Obama is kissing them when he is making sex to them

The Commerce Department said last month it wanted to impose tariffs of between 10.36 percent and 15.78 percent, in addition to normal duties, following a probe on the imported steel pipes used to deliver oil and gas in the petroleum industry.

Anything to make our energy more expensive.

From the article:"The Commerce Department pursued an investigation into the steel pipes case after complaints from various US industry groups, including the United States Steel Corporation, and the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union, the largest industrial union in North America."

None of the 'usual' suspects there, are there?
