The tea-party participant the individual who is frustrated America's leaders don't seem to want to "preserve and protect" the republic and gives up his or her own time, talents and money to warn elected leaders to choose the straight and narrow has been selected by WorldNetDaily editors as WND's 2009 "Person of the Year."
On the WND Forums pages where readers were asked to contribute their suggestions and comments, "Warsong" noted the impressive quality of nominees ranging from the hackers who uncovered what apparently was a scheme to cook global warming evidence to longtime conservative stalwart Rush Limbaugh and the dramatic leadership of former Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin.
"I vote for the tea parties," Warsong wrote. "Unless we all become tea partiers and pull together, this Golden Age is doomed."

Maybe it's because it is New Year's Eve and I face 2010 with fear, concern, and some distress or because I am facing 2010 with a bit more courage, a bit more willingness, and a lot more friends...or maybe cause I get sappy...
but I cried a little in reading this and playing the videos at the site.
God Bless America and Happy New Year

Rush should get it.
He's been slugging it out for YEARS.
He is consistent and definitely moves people to action and changes hearts.

He has, but so has the likes of Glenn Beck who started this whole tea party/912/meet-up thing.

Glen's okay but Rush has been around allot longer than Glen Beck. Glen needs to be less emotional and say the same things. I prefer Rush. Rush gets worked up at times but he is more professional. Rush genuinely loves his country as Glen does but Rush is an original. Beck, Hannidy and a few others are imitators.

We used to have Freeper of the year back when things were hot and heavy.
Heck, FR used to have Tea Parties all the time when no other groups gave a hoot. Still do. They were just called Freeps.

But I would bet that if you ask Glenn or Rush ... BOTH would say unanimously ... “the Tea Party Participants should receive the award.” Because that’s the kind of men they are.

Thanks for the ping. I agree with giving the TEA PARTIERS the Person of the Year. While Rush, Beck et al are real good, actually GREAT, I do not think they affect the County as much as the Tea Partiers have.
And here I thought you were going to nominate the DC Chapter. :-(( [Mr] T
