She is a political novice seeking to unseat one of the most powerful Democrats in the United States Senate. But Linda McMahon does possess one big weapon: a vast personal fortune that she is already wielding to shake up the race.
Ms. McMahon has been saturating residents with television advertisements, pouring money into the campaigns of local elected officials and building a campaign organization that dwarfs its rivals.

Normally I wouldn't post something from the Slimes, but if they're nervous about Dodd's chances, his internal polling must show him in the dumper. I have a feeling he may bow out rather than face a humiliating defeat.

NYT is promoting McMahon because she is the weakest candidate against the corrupt Dodd.

Only reason I see she is in it is to siphon off some GOP votes. Imagine her friend Rahm Emanual asked her to run as a Republican.

Not another RINO?
UNACCEPTABLE

Well could be a RINO but at least her website says she isn’t. Time will tell.

Her ads against the stimulus and other big spending plans are very effective, IMO. Though I notice she directs her criticism entirely at “Washington.” No trashing of Dodd, or the Dems. I wonder if she is going to try avoiding direct assaults like that because she realizes this is still a heavily Democrat state so she has to appear to be non partisan while just attacking incumbents. I think it is about time she starts naming names though.
Speaking of names, I read on some other site or blog that the former gov and senator Weicker is on her advisory board. If that is correct then it might be all we need to know about her. She should NOT be nominated.

I refuse to even link into the slime for any reason.
But it would be nice to know the following.
Who is running in all parties in the Connecticut race?
What is the candidate final filing date ?
What is the date of the primary ?
Thank You

If Vince has any say, Triple H will come in at the last minute and hit Simmons over the head with a chair while JR screams “My God! My God! What has just happened?
I just hope she doesn’t cite dealing with Mr Fuji and Nikolai Volkoff as foreign policy credentials

It is customary for the media when covering a candidate to list the other contenders for the office being sought.
The New York Times seems to have ignored that journalistic rule and not included the name of Peter Schiff, who is the man to watch for the GOP nomination to run against Dodd for United States Senate.
Don't even ask me why, because I think you and I both know.
To: TNCMAXQ
That is troubling. I'll be honest I don't know too much about her other than from her radio spots. I've been so focused on dumping Dodd and my rep Murphy that I just figured anyone else was an improvement. You're right though she should start naming names if she's serious, in fairness her GOP opponent in the primary is doing the same thing. I guess in the people's republic of CT it's tough to call out individual members of our ONE party.
Think of a double victory in the CT and MA senate races. Hussain would soil himself.
