Brennan: Deal 'on the table' for terror suspect
politico.com ^ | Jan. 3, 2010 | Josh Gerstein

The U.S. Government is offering the suspect charged with attempting to bomb an aircraft on Christmas Day, Omar Abdulmutallab, some kind of incentives to share what he knows about Al Qaeda, White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan said Sunday.

Asked why Abdulmutallab should cooperate given his right, as criminal defendant, to remain silent, Brennan replied: "He doesn't have to but he knows there are certain things that are on the table... if he wants to engage with us in a productive manner, there are ways he can do that."

Asked if Abdulmutallab's willingness to talk changed once he had an attorney, Brennan declined to answer. "I'm not going to address what he did before or after he talked with a lawyer," the adviser said.

Yeah, the one where he identifies the Russian mafia, or Christian militia, or Swiss Nuns as his real handlers.

I am so not getting this.
Announce to the world that the panty terrorist is going to cooperate and spill the beans on his fellow jihadists.
The other terrorists will then change their plans- with a net result of nothing gained.

*shakeshead*

The pure audacity and ignorance of this administration speaks volumes to their lack of any credibility as it pertains to keeping Americans safe and combating terrorism.

1. Convict him. 2. Anoint his body liberally with lard (from pigs). 3. Execute him. They executed McVeigh didn’t they? 4. Bury him in a grave sealed with several yards of concrete. Publicize number 2.

Let the Imams and their followers know we condemned one of their would be martyrs to hell.

First of all he should not be in the hands of the civilian police. He is a terrorist combatant and should be in the hands of the military where the President should make the decision quickly that he would be tried by a military court and given the same sentence as those who were caught during the FDR rule.

My sense was that a plea deal of some sort could be worked out. I chose to ignore it (for now) or pretend I was reading too much into it.

I am having trouble wrapping my brain around so many things this past week. I don’t know how much more my brain can try to process.

They don’t need to make a deal with him to get information. Treat him like Bush/Cheney treated the Shoe Bomber, Richard Reid. Waterboard him till he gives us everything he knows, then try him before a Military Commission and place him before a firing squad. Thats the way Real American Men treat Terrorists.

Obama Is Reported Set to Revise Counterterrorism Efforts
New York Times, The (NY) - Thursday, January 8, 2009
Author: PETER BAKER

Abstract: Pres-elect Obama reportedly is preparing to scrap Bush administration’s approach to overseeing domestic security and name former CIA official John O Brennan to coordinate counterterrorism; plan would eliminate independent homeland security adviser’s office and assign those duties to National Security Council;

Obama Taps CIA Veteran As Adviser On Terror - Brennan Has Drawn Fire on Interrogations
Washington Post, The (DC) - Friday, January 9, 2009
Author: R. Jeffrey Smith, Washington Post Staff Writer
Barack Obama has picked John O. Brennan as his top adviser on counterterrorism, a role that will give the CIA veteran a powerful voice on the government’s use of security contractors and on other sensitive issues in which he recently has played a private-sector role.

By appointing Brennan to a senior White House position not subject to Senate approval, Obama is also making him an influential adviser on the Middle East and on Iran, a topic on which Brennan has called for a sharp break with past U.S. policy.

The president-elect’s decision comes only six weeks after Brennan was forced to pull out of contention for the directorship of the CIA because of fears that his statements supporting some controversial interrogation techniques would have complicated his confirmation.

The firm Brennan heads, the Analysis Corp., and its corporate parent have earned millions of dollars over the past decade assisting several federal agencies and private firms on counterterrorism. Those oil and telecommunications firms have worked in countries beset by violence, including Mozambique, Liberia, Colombia and Pakistan — all of which have been topics of intense policy debate in Washington.

National Security
Sustainable Security 101

The Center continued its work on “sustainable security” by publishing an introduction to the subject after Senior Counterterrorism Advisor John O. Brennan said that the United States must redefine its strategy to include all facets of national power.

CAP’s CEO and President John D. Podesta accompanied former President Bill Clinton to North Korea on a mission to secure the freedom of journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee. And Colin Thomas-Jensen offered an analysis on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo in an Ask the Expert video.

Let me tell you about my New Year's Day flight from Atlanta to Seattle. We're waiting at the gate area and here comes this (what looked like to me) tall American Black women all bedecked out in the usual female Muslim gear, you know, the silk headscarf and covered from neck to ankle with nice looking clothing (I don't know what they call it). Anyway, she waltzes up to the counter, gets a seat assignment, walks around the whole seating area looking for a seat. She had a tad of an attitude but maybe it was just me. The whole crowd looks like, "Oh Jesus, now what do we do?" Then a bearded Sikh guy (fwiw he "felt" okay, but who knows) waltzes up to the counter with his family - anyway he had that Sikh turban thingy on - and gets a seat assignment.

We just so happen were in the last row of the plane, 44, and the Muslim gal was 3 seats ahead of us, the Sikh guy was 2 seats ahead of us on the other side. I'm wondering, did they both get a crotch search? A total cavity search? I knew they hadn't, so it was tension city all the way to Seattle. Did anyone talk with them, interview them, like the Israelis do? I'm sweating bullets when she went to the bathroom. I honest to God almost didn't get on the plane. . .

Anyway, we made it, but unless things change, it's just a matter of time until 300 men, women and children get killed. There were a lot of kids on the plane. . .

Even worse, NCIS to get punk’d with a whole series of apologizing and making excuses for the filth of Islam and blaming the war on terrorism as the West’s problem with Multiculturalism, Diversity, open society…bla bla bla. And that any problems with Islam are to be blamed on nutty Christian ideals, for if it was not for the so-called separation clause, all Marines would be followers of Mohammad (Fort Hood massacre would not have taken place). NCIS has now compromised Marines in their duty and protect the Constitution and citizenry or is it just that Marines now represent Islam as the current Presidential armed forces.

With all the traitors filling the government, the possibilities are endless.
