This is exactly what Obama wants.

destroy capitalism and have a planned government driven economy where Obama and his ilk make decisions for the peasants. The stimulus money that YOU are paying for for generations to come, is a slush fund to buy off people to go along with him.

Obama’s Weekly Radio Address 02 21 09

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vWmtPRPpJo

THE PRESIDENT: Earlier this week, I signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act — the most sweeping economic recovery plan in history.

Because of this plan, 3.5 million Americans will now go to work doing the work that America needs done.

“In the nation, this bill will provide 3.5 million jobs in the next two years,” said Klobuchar,

...“Ninety percent of them will be in the private sector,” she said.

Walz votes for stimulus bill
We received this statement from Walz’s congressional office

http://http://www.bluestemprairie.com/a_bluestem_prairie/2009/01/walz-votes-for-stimulus-bill.html

This legislation will create and save 3 to 4 million jobs, rebuilding America, making us more globally competitive and energy independent, and transforming our economy for long-term growth; give 95% of American workers an immediate tax cut; and invest quickly in the economy – with 75% spent in the first 18 months.

Transcript of Pelosi, House Democratic Leaders, and Economists’ Press Conference Following Economic Forum

http://www.speaker.gov/newsroom/pressreleases?id=1414

^
Speaker Pelosi. Thank you very much. Dr. Blinder.

Alan Blinder. “despite the fact that we’re looking at an absolutely horrendous long-term fiscal outlook”

Amy Klobuchar (ARRA of 2009)2.7.09

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goTYOjh2q9M&feature=related

Ms. KLOBUCHAR. “...Anyone in Minnesota can tell you that when it is 20 below, as it has been the last month, and your battery is dead and you need to get to work, your No. 1 priority is to get a jump-start right away, not stand around talking about it and debating and using the old ideas from the past.

That is what this economic recovery plan is about, a jump-start.”

I honestly believe Speaker Pelosi did not actually listen to what Dr. Blinder said. In a few words he did not sugarcoat what is now taking place: An economic meltdown. All she wanted was a bunch of Yes Men telling her how wonderful the Administration's policies are 'putting people back to work,' and that 'thanks to the stimulus, recovery is right around the corner.'

Congress is absolutely tone deaf and without any semblance of reality.
