“TSA: Newark terminal locked down”
January 3, 2010 7:52 p.m. EST
(CNN) —
SNIPPET: “Police are seeking the individual, who walked from the public side to the sterile side, said TSA spokeswoman Anne Davis. Terminal C was shutdown Sunday evening, she said.

Authorities are reviewing video from airport cameras. They are not sure whether the man was once on the sterile side and went back, or if he never went through screening, Davis said.”

it’s one of the airports I avoid at all costs.

The TSA security there are one of the worst I have ever seen.

I swear most of then must have cheated to have graduated high school, actually middle school.

They’re like little NAZIS because of their power and yet have no clue what their job entails.

I was just at Newark Airport in Nov, & I don't know how you could walk from the 'public side to the sterile side.' There are a lot of security people to stop anyone.

I think you would walk from the public side to the sterile side at Newark the same way a raghead couple could walk in to a State Dinner at the White House without credentials; or the same way a vacationing couple from Georgia could wander into an official White House breakfast two weeks later, without being stopped or questioned.

A “sterile” section of EWR? What an oxymoron! They gotta be kidding. The terminals are dirtier than many 3rd-world airports.

These rescreenings are always an incredible inconvenience and joke. Whatever a person might have smuggled through
could be stashed on the “clean side” and retrieved after the
culprit was rescreened anyway. They might as well hand everyone a lucky penny and send them on their way.......
