Just a year and half ago this would have seemed like a paperback fiction text, now its is merely a matter-of-fact editorial in a respected publication...
"But now socialist, socialism and neoMarxist are terms used frequently to describe the president's income redistribution schemes, government spending nostrums and shadow Cabinet full of radicals."... "By funding and by fiat, we have empowered unelected global bureaucracies to influence American lives as never before. These include greater deference given to U.N. decisions, handing Interpol unprecedented operating power on U.S. soil and a desire to bolster the world court at the Hague."

It should be “The Years That America Lurched Left,” as the 2006 & 2008 elections were a single election cycle with two elections.

Excellent editorial.
Obama is a Socialist. And that’s charitable.

Obama is a flaming Commie bent upon the destruction of America and everything it stands for - and that's less charitable but still more so than the unrepentant Marxist deserves.

Obama and his Marxist pals have put the country on a vector towards socialism. You could even say we’re now on a glide path. The 2010 election is for all the marbles. If we don’t take back the House, at a minimum, we’re toast.

In the late 19th century, the terms "socialism" and "communism" were often used interchangeably. However, Marx and Engels argued that communism would not emerge from capitalism in a fully developed state, but would pass through a "first phase" in which most productive property was owned in common, but with some class differences remaining. The "first phase" would eventually evolve into a "higher phase" in which class differences were eliminated, and a state was no longer needed. Lenin frequently used the term "socialism" to refer to Marx and Engels' supposed "first phase" of communism and used the term "communism" interchangeably with Marx and Engels' "higher phase" of communism.
Can anyone explain so many refuse to label these people what they are: communists?
At the very least they are useful idiots, but even then they serve communists.
Why don't people use the right term?
Socialism is a temporary state, ON THE ROAD TO COMMUNISM.
