Temperatures are expected to remain much below normal over all of south Florida this week, with the possibility of even colder temperatures this upcoming weekend. It is not unheard of to have freezing or near-freezing temperatures in south Florida each winter. In fact, inland areas south and west of Lake Okeechobee experience freezing temperatures at least once a year on average. Over the metro and coastal areas of south Florida, freezing temperatures are less frequent, but even in these areas freezing temperatures have occurred about every 5 to 10 years on average. Temperatures drop to at least 35 about every 1 to 2 years in the Naples area, and about every 2 years in the outlying areas of southeast Florida. For the urban areas of Miami/Fort Lauderdale, temperatures drop to at least 35 degrees about 2 to 3 times a decade, At West Palm Beach, the average is about every 1 to 2 years.

That's why “global warming” has morphed itself into “climate change!” Last I looked the climate changes all the time. We have Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. The hubris of these flim flam artists is astounding. So, we're to double the cost of energy and transfer that wealth to the third world and Algore because the climate changes? Here in Alaska we have 6 months of winter and 6 months getting ready for it.

It’s 19 degrees right now here in central NC!

(I remember walking across campus in college in ZERO degree temps so this is not the coldest ever here).

But, it is the coldest 2 week span in some 25 years or more!

We will get say 2 or 3 days of temps like this every winter - but not 2 weeks of it.

I am just grateful that, so far, our global warming version has not included the frozen precip - at least not yet. The winter is still young!
