A 2009 spending spree has left the Republican National Committee (RNC) with its worst election-year cash flow this decade.
The largest GOP party committee has $8.7 million in the bank heading into an election year with 37 governors’ races, a dozen major Senate contests, dozens more in the House and an all-important redistricting cycle on the horizon.
Said one RNC official: “It is very troubling, and the thing is, most people don’t understand this. But it is really troubling.”

You want to understand it? I have ONE word for you... NY23! How about you read the angry notes that get sent back with those pre-paid envelopes? I know I've sent a few back with a note about why I'm supporting candidates that share my values, and will not send ONE DIME to the RNC unless they man up and expel the liberals from their money list.
If you want to win, overthrow your RINO milquetoast overlords and GET SOME CONSERVATIVE VALUES. Now, before it is too late!

Replace Michael Steele with Sarah Palin (just until her 2012 Presidential campaign kicks off) and we can talk.
Maybe it means you had better be VERY conscientious of where you spend those dollars then, and don't waste it supporting RINOs - especially in primaries where a conservative option is available.
What is troubling is how this RNC official can be so dense. It's not the people that don't understand, it's the RNC that doesn't understand. If they don't want to go the way of the Whig party they better wise up...and not just at some superficial terminology level but at the core.
I donate money directly to selected conservative candidates but nothing to the RNC. I imagine there are many like me in this regard.
Exactly. And THAT is why their money has dried up. Why should we subsidize liberal RINOs?
If they ran conservatives instead of RINOs, they might see a better return.
The money I used to send to the RNC now goes to candidates of MY choice.

The RNC doesn’t get it. We’re donating to individual candidates directly, if at all. We’re not handing it over to PACs or RNC groups that can direct it to people I don’t want getting it - ie, RINOs and worse, those that hate the conservative Republicans.

These milquetoasts just can't wrap their brains around the idea that we want conservative leadership and conservative candidates exclusively.
They keep acting like we're just having a little quarrel and couldn't possibly mean the things we're saying.
