VAN NUYS -- Ronald Reagan's 31-year-old grandson was arrested Thursday in Van Nuys, police said.
Cameron Reagan, the son of political radio host Michael Reagan, was taken into custody for resisting arrest after officers were dispatched to the 4700 block of Allot Avenue about 12:20 a.m., said Los Angeles police Officer April Harding of the Media Relations Section.
It was not immediately known why officers went to the home.
Officers saw Reagan leaving the rear door of the residence and attempted to stop and talk to him, Harding said. Reagan was "very uncooperative and belligerent, and he was arrested for resisting arrest."
Reagan was booked at the Van Nuys Jail for a misdemeanor and is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to the sheriff's department.
This is not Cameron's first run-in with the law. In 2001, he was ordered by a judge to attend drug rehab and anger management after he was found with marijuana.
In 1999, he was sentenced to six months in jail on charges of receiving stolen property for his role in two car burglaries.
Earlier, he was convicted of vandalism.

Say what? You may resist arrest, but that's not what you're arrested for. You're arrested for the original perceived infraction of the law.

Unlikely that you have both a problem with marijuana addiction and anger management.
He probably likes marijuana and was justifiably angry that they took his pot away. Or he smokes pot to self medicate for his anger problem.

Such a shame. If a Reagan was going to be hauled off to the hoosegow I was really hoping it would be Ronnie, Jr.
The story on local radio here this morning was that someone in the house had hit a panic button on the security system and the police were responding to that. As for the marijuana charge, it’s ridiculously easy to get a medical marijuana card in L.A. that will immunize you from arrest.

Perhaps give him the death penalty for a suicide attempt?
I suspect it's just bad reporting. My guess is he'll be jacked-up with disorderly/disturbing and resisting. I don't believe he's on probation, so there's more than a decent chance that both will be dropped for court costs, or he'll get a very limited probationary time - 6 months(ish).
I’ve heard Michael address his love of President Reagan, his father. I believe he was more a child of Reagan than the other two pinheads.
This was Reagan’s grandson and I wouldn’t wouldn’t want to mention the biological connection out of respect for Michael. He’s a good guy.

The msm must have struggled for hours writing the headline to this story. Who do they defame? The conservative radio host Michael Reagan or the conservative gold standard, President Ronald Reagan? I am not surprised by their choice.

I’ve watched cops, resisting arrest is as simple as asking them not to arrest you even if you ask politely.

Gore’s son was arrested for speeding while drunk, and it turned out that he had like a whole bale of pot in his car —a Prius, which was the only positive spin on the whole deal.
