Muslims say new security rules unfair, ineffective (Don't worry Muslims, Obama to the rescue)

American Muslim leaders are criticizing new airport security guidelines they say unfairly profile Muslims. More importantly, they say, the new rules are ineffective.

Muslims leaders say the measures, introduced by the Travel Security Administration on Sunday (Jan. 3) after a Nigerian Muslim man nearly blew up a Detroit-bound Northwest Airlines flight on Christmas Day, wrongly scrutinize Muslims. Instead, officials should be looking at security personnel who had ample information to catch the would-be bomber, but failed to act on it.

''The government failed in its execution, and now it's introducing these measures to cover up its mistakes," said Salam Al-Marayati, executive director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council in Los Angeles.

The TSA denied claims of profiling. "TSA does not profile," said TSA spokeswoman Lauren Gaches. "TSA security measures are based on threat, not ethnic or religious background."

I have but ONE thing to say to “American Muslim leaders”.....”MOTHER EFFER, you’ll think PROFILING if I were allowed to do it. It would start by outlining your dead ass with a piece of chalk” That’s all the ‘profile’ I need.

Maybe if muzzies would quit trying to kill infidels, profiling would not be necessary.....

"TSA does not profile," said TSA spokeswoman Lauren Gaches.

Oh I am so relieved to hear that! I feel SO much safer. Thank you TSA! /sarc

Obama said in his speech that we aren't targeting Muslims, just Al-Qaeda.

I wonder how this will affect BO saying that he will always stand with the Muslimes when the wind goes against them- or whatever that was he wrote in his book?

Muslims rip profiling because they are simply in denial that the vast majority of recent terrorism is Muslim/Islamic in origin.

Heard the other day that some pilots think TSA stands for thousands standing around

“”TSA does not profile,” said TSA spokeswoman Lauren Gaches.”

And airports will continue to get emptier and emptier. I flew at Christmas but don’t particularly care to do so again.

Ah, yes, if the Khafirs are blowing up then it's the Khafirs' own fault for not having discovered the secrets of Islam.

These guys are so transparent ~ NOW, RIGHT NOW, not later, Obama has to direct TSA to start with the total colonoscopic examinations and not let any of these pukes get near an airplane until the fiber optic light can be seen lighting up the back of their pearly whites!

They anti-profile. Grandma needs to have her wheelchair field stripped again while babies' diaper bombs are examined while Abdulabdul is bringing a stereotypical round black bomb with a burning fuze through security.

On Tuesday, a Muslim woman flying from Dulles International Airport to Los Angeles complained publicly through CAIR that airport screeners asked her to remove her headscarf, and when she refused, singled her out for a pat down. The TSA responded that "current procedures for the screening of bulky clothing or headwear — which have been in effect since 2007 — remain unchanged. The wearing of a hijab does not automatically trigger security checks."

The hijab SHOULD trigger security checks. They can pound sand. We should profile them right out of here. And like anyone wants to look at her nasty, squashed-down hair.

I, too, although I have to say the screening was very easy and straightforward - people now know to take off their shoes, put out their plastic bags with their 3 oz containers of liquids, and take their laptops out of the bags. How any of this makes us safer is beyond me. I'm for profiling, plain and simple.

Why all this whining?
The TSA doesn’t profile for MUSLIMS
they do profile for TERRORISTS though.
CAIR, you got a problem with that?

Well IF we were profiling Muslims we would have to start with ZERO now wouldn’t we?
