I liked this one ...

" oldgloryradio: Eureka Safeway food store took a hit, mess everywhere. Drove through town, crowds gathering, liberals rethinking stand on gun control"

BWAHAHAHA!

6.5 is no biggy in Eureka. I remember in 80 or 81, being thrown against the wall while I was asleep by a 7.2.

That was in Jacoby Creek, and our store in Eureka had almost no damage.

It’s really cool. On the left column of controls, try this: unclick rings, click shell, drag Quakes slider bar to the left. Click on States.

You can use the MAG and DATE sliders to only display above the magnitude you select, and the date slider to only show the quakes within the number of days you choose.

Put your mouse on the globe, hold down the button and drag the globe. Wheee..

The quake appears to have occurred along the Russ fault.

Call it a hunch, but I expect there will be a big earthquake on the US West Coast in about 2-3 days, possibly a “reflective” earthquake, triggered by this.

Well you were off by a few days, but I say 6.5 is big.

Yes, for the most part. But of course a 6.5 quake is newsworthy.
