President Obama is preparing for his State of the Union address, expected sometime in the next month, but some in the White House press corps are getting antsy for him to hold a news conference with reporters, something he hasn't done since July 22, almost six months ago.

I do remember the media making remarks about President Bush not having press conferences all the while they insinuated he was an idiot and couldn't speak.

Furthermore, so much for Transparency Mr. Obama, and without Obama’s teleprompter he is a babbling buffoon...

It’s a Rahm/David co-presidency as dictated by George! And Bohama is nothing more than a teleprompter reader.....

.....and the Blackberry-answer-fed-to-teleprompter system failed at the July 22nd press conference. Ergo, end of Press Conferences.

And it has taken six months for any public mention of his omission.

And the public mention is on Fox.

Very interesting that the journalist from another age let her reporter roots speak, in place of her leftist roots.

She is not as ethics-challenged as the current crop of men and women with the WH Press credentials.

Before reading your post, I would have bet that Helen Thomas would be the first to approach the issue. Good for her!!!
Congrats to her for working for fifty years - anywhere!

The reason for this is nothing of real importance has happen to cause a press conference. If there had been then he would have had a real press conference!!

**I thought Gibbs was the President....**

Good grief, I don’t think Gibbs even has brains.

Not that Obama does.
