Ayalon himself openly admitted that he and Foreign Minister Avidgor Lieberman had planned the details of the encounter, but told the radio station that such behavior was "standard diplomatic conduct," and offered no apology.

"I won't apologize. It's the Turks who should - for what [Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip] Erdogan said and for the television series," Ayalon said. "We are merely setting boundaries."

........

nice double team from Danny Ayalon and Avigdor Lieberman

I don’t know if this was wise or not, but no question that relations with Turkey are deteriorating. The basic problem is that Turkey is abandoning their secular principles and returning to their old Islamic ways.

Too bad. They are no longer friendly with Israel and no longer can be counted on as allies of the West.

“Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu remained mum on the story that dominated Israeli and Turkish media throughout the day.”

Benj spoke...he’s definately communicating in his silence. He’s got bigger plans in mind and no doubt things in Mid-East require a steadfast hand on his part with all the backdoor politics now going on.

Oguz Celikkol, Turkey's ambassador to Israel... traveling to Ankara for consultations in reaction to what the Turks termed the shameful treatment he was given by Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon during a meeting the two held on Monday evening, and... may not return to Israel.
Thanks dervish.

So, for most of 8 years we heard ad nauseum from the lamestream press about how terrible the situation was in the ME, how Bush should be able to broker a deal between Israel and it’s neighbors, blah, blah, blah.

Do we hear ONE WORD from either Obama on the deteriorating situation with Turkey? Nooooooooooooooo. Do we hear ONE WORD from the Sec. State? Nooooooooooooooooo. Do we hear ONE WORD from any other NATO member? Noooooooooooooooo.

Obama likely secretly supports Turkey moving away from friendly relations with Israel. He’s probably pleased.

Sit in a low chair? That sounds like something from Chaplin’s Great Dictator. Or from Sara Palin’s first national interview. Lieberman and Ayalon ought to be slapped silly. With Turkey they get all huffy and demand respect. But they keep on countenancing further outrages from Obambistan, the PA and Hamastan.
