HARRY REID SHOULD NOT ONLY RESIGN
Natural Born Conservative ^ | January 12, 2010 | Larry Walker Jr

Posted on 01/12/2010 8:16:03 PM PST by NaturalBornConservative

In the wake of Harry Reid's racist thought pattern coming to light, countless Negroes (I consider myself to be Black) have come out of the woodwork to proclaim that what Reid said is 'only the truth'. Numerous Republicans have weighed in only to state that 'nothing should be done' while pointing out that if it were a Republican who made such remarks, Democrats would be 'screaming' for his resignation. Why are Negroes racing to Reid's rescue? And why aren't Republicans screaming for his resignation?

It is my opinion that Harry Reid should not only resign his post as Majority leader, Harry Reid should resign from the U.S. Senate. Harry Reid should be driven to the outskirts of town and booted out on his ass. Hell, Harry Reid should be exiled from the United States of America.

How dare you judge people by the color of their skin. How dare you judge people because their dialect differs from yours. How dare you Harry Reid. I have lost all respect for Democrat party, for watered down Republicans, and for so called Civil Rights Activists. All of you who practically broke your necks racing to the support of a true racist are a joke. You're not Civil Rights Activists, you're ass kissers. You know who and what you are.

And if you think I am writing this in defense of Barack Obama, you're sadly mistaken. As far as I'm concerned Obama can pack his bags and go serve coffee to Reid in exile. You sir are nothing but a coward.

I AM SCREAMING. I AM MAD AS HELL. I WANT THIS MAN OUT, AND I WANT HIM OUT NOW.

I don’t think Reid is a racist and this whole tempest if yet another sign of how idiotic we have become over anything non white, non male, non straight or non Christian

but I do like to see him squirm

I do think though that this exemplifies how the left thinks we are all racist hence he really thinks “white” America won’t vote for a “negro” even unless “light skinned”..

it does help to be beyond ebonics though...that I agree with him on

it must be great to be black and just sneeze “wacist” and have whites bow down and submit all sorts of nonsense

we whites are sure a proud peoples..lol

If the GOP cannot win a senate seat in Nevada in this political climate, then what does that say about the GOP?

Harry Reid is trailing two GOP challenger for his Senate seat at this moment.  Reid's idiot son is running for Governor and he's losing big time because Nevadans don't want a Reid dynasty in play.

Reid's been trailing his re-election race for months now.  Reid ain't resigning,  These dirt bags play for keeps.

Exploiting the squirm factor is the only reason to be messing with this.

But those on our side who are trying to out-Politically Correct the Democrats in being Racially Correct need a swift kick in the a$$. And that includes Limbaugh.

I like Rush, but on this I strongly disagree with him. How ironic that it’s been Rush who says that Democrats don’t give up power that easily. Once they get power they don’t want to get rid of it.

Read this very carefully and get back to me afterward. It's a practice that the GOP can not afford to engage in.

The Origins of Political Correctness

The only way we will ever take down the socialist Left in America is if we expose Saul Alinsky’s tactics at every turn. Hillary Clinton studied his works in college. Chris Matthews still sings his praises in times of trouble.

The politics of personal destruction are still very much here and I say keep the proverbial boot down on Harry’s throat.

I think Rush is enjoying it because they call him racist whenever he as much as wears a white golf shirt.

I agree it’s much ado about nothing but I agree with Hume, Sarah and O’Butthead...it’s more about how Reid thinks we are all too racist to vote for a non white...which is suck BS...I don’t know anyone who would not vote for a decent black as coal man if he were conservative enough...especially on culture....there just ain’t any running

they’d say the same about me and chicks in power....that we’re sexist ...and I am, I admit..but look at me now...most old hardcore southern peckerwoods i know love Palin

Obama can be inarticulate and “street” when he wants. He won a grammy for his reading of his book on tape. What a performance.

According to this site, Obama fabricated the words of an “angry black man” who took issue with the mischaracterization of their conversations long ago.

Yes, on racial issues Rush tries hard to be as Politically Correct as any liberal Democrat. He likes to stress the fact that the Republican Party was largely responsible for passing the 1965 Civil Rights Act and that southern Democrats opposed it.

Now this is true, but there was also a significant Republican Senator who opposed that bill, and his name was Barry Goldwater. Those southern Democrats who were allied with Goldwater were an integral part of what was called the ‘conservative coalition’, an informal group that controlled Congress from the late ‘30s to the mid ‘60s.

If Rush wants to align himself with the Rockefeller-Javits wing of the GOP who passed the Civil Rights Act that’s fine with me, but he needs to stop calling himself a conservative and admit that at heart he’s really a 60’s Republican liberal or 60’s Democrat Cold Warrior of the Hubert Humphrey mold. He’s often far closer to them than he is to the likes of Reagan’s hero Goldwater or the old conservative southern Democrats whom he likes to portray as a pack of racists. That’s been one of the oldest tactics of the Left. If Rush wants to mimic them then he should at least take their name.

Yeah and Strom Thurmond was responsible for that, and it was one of the reasons Arizona was one of the last states in the country to recognize MLK, Jr.'s birthday.

I’m sure he does enjoy dealing it back to his critics, but Rush has been as nasty towards the South as any leftist when he wants to make himself look good on some race issue. That’s either the mark of a coward or a fool.

The fact that many African Americans speak a distinct, Southern-influenced version of English is a plain fact, not to be debated. Use of this non-standard dialect is encouraged by Democrats, as a way to keep African Americans isolated and marginalized.

It’s also a fact that most people consider the African American dialect substandard, and associate it with lack of education and lack of willingness to join the mainstream culture.

Obama was elected in large part because he speaks standard American English, not the dialect.

Strom Thurmond switched parties in order to throw his support to Goldwater, but I don’t think he was the reason Barry opposed the bill. Goldwater opposed the bill because he didn’t believe that the national government had the right to tell individual Americans what they were permitted to think. That used to be a fundamental character of conservatives. Today, the revised Conservative Version 2.0 thinks it’s just swell. And then they wonder how in the world Washington DC became powerful enough to intrude into every other aspect of their lives.

Supposedly Reid should resign, because Trent Lott had to resign. The Republicans should have had enough guts to tell the Democrats and the media to stuff it.

Instead to this day we can depend upon the Republicans to eat their young whenever the media and Democrats tell them to. The Democrats can rely upon arrogance and media allies alone, without any resort to courage, to ride through this issue. They understand the feebleness of their opponents.

“The fact that many African Americans speak a distinct, Southern-influenced version of English is a plain fact, not to be debated. “

A good deal of black dialect is an archaic form of British English that has died out among whites in both Britain and the United States. It’s a testament to how far back American black culture goes into colonial history. I think David Hackett Fischer discusses this in ‘Albion’s Seed’.

If you go back and look at who was demanding Lott’s scalp you will find that it wasn’t Democrats at all. They took a few cursory shots at him but then they largely ignored him. The people who wouldn’t leave the issue alone was a group of PC Republican activists and commentators who were eager to show how racially sensitive they were. I think you’ll find names like Michael Medved and Hugh Hewitt among the pack that was responsible for forcing Lott out.
