SAN’A, Yemen (AP) - A Yemeni governor says security forces killed a suspected al-Qaida figure in a raid in a remote mountainous province.
Security officials also say two members of the security forces were killed and four wounded when suspected al-Qaida fighters attacked their patrol Wednesday elsewhere in Shabwa province, east of the capital.
Shabwa’s governor, Ali Ahmadi, says the militant, Abdullah Mizhar, was killed Tuesday night in the raid on a house in the Maysaa region. Ahmadi says Mizhar was the leader of a local group of al-Qaida fighters.
Security officials say four others with Mizhar were arrested, while the rest fled. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk

I’d like to see an American military confirmation on this, too.
A lot of “dead” jihadis seem to be popping up alive, lately (in various parts of the world).
THANKS Rdl6989 for the ping.
Good news if true.

It’s just a cell leader so don’t get too excited. Al Aulaqi and al Zindani are still breathing.

Was this guy registered to vote in Democratic Party primaries in Lackawanna NY - as were the Lackawanna / Buffalo cell of mostly Yemeni-heritage members? :-)

THAT makes me feel warm and fuzzy... I guess the local ACORN office can hire them on as volunteer community organizers.
