The U.S. Department of Justice filed suit Wednesday against a Lower Moreland swim club accused of ousting black and Hispanic day campers this summer because of their race.
The children of the Northeast Philadelphia-based Creative Steps day camp were denied rights protected under the Civil Rights Act of 1964 when, after one visit, they were refunded the rest of their summer-long pool fees and asked not to return, the filing said. The club created a new policy against admitting any more day camps in response to racially-motivated opposition from Valley Club members to Creative Steps.
The lawsuit seeks to bar the club from doing anything similar in the future, said Department of Justice spokesman Alejandro Miyar. The filing asks that the clubs discriminatory policies and practices be declared a violation of Title II of the Civil Rights Act and that the club and its associates be kept from denying those rights in the future.

It appears that Creative Steps in now trying to get blood out of a turnip. I do become highly dubious when the Justice Department sues anyone, considering the current state of decays it's in.
Maybe if the private swim club had applied the Harry Reid policy, this wouldn't have happened. LOL!

Ready to go after whitey — but Black Panthers seem to be off limits to this Justice Department, Hmmmmmmmmm, interesting.
Where is the State-run media? We all know!
To: writer33
If its a private club, I don’t get it.
Does that mean they can use my pool? Would I be violating their “civil rights” by refusing them permission to use my property?

Obviously there's more to the story 'racist club throws out inner city kids because they didn't like the color of their skin'.
Anyone who doesn't know what would follow something like that hasn't been paying much attention over the past 50 years.

If I recall correctly, this group of day campers were asked to leave because of bad behavior on the part of the kids. It’s really not a racial thing. The kids were violating the established rules of the club by their misbehavior. The kids were not disciplined and didn’t know how to behave, or weren’t told to behave themselves by the leaders of their group. So now we have a federal lawsuit.
So if the kids were out of control in their behavior, is that a racial thing???????

Yeah, the same Justice department sees nothing wrong with these guys outside of a Philadelphia polling place 11/08
To: GeronL
Would I be violating their civil rights by refusing them permission to use my property?Simply by being conservative makes you racist, GeronL. So the answer is yes, of course it would.
