Shame it wasn’t a 9.0 with a shallow epicenter right under Ahmadnutjob.

My thoughts as well. So, what is the seismic signature of an underground nuke test?

In Los Angeles where earthquakes are common a 4.9 is considered so small it might not even make the news. I wouldn’t even call it a shaker. Just a rumble.

Last paragraph says it..
They say in can be camouflaged if detonated in a big underground cavity

Now that is a consideration, isn't it? There must be some Good Guys trying to figure that out right now.

It’s raining here in Muddysippi so my internet connection is balking at going to the link. (I know, the two shouldn’t be related but that only applies outside of MS)

I seem to recall back when the Norks were doing their tests that they were looking for something in the 4 range. Is that what your info is?

With all that nuclear stuff there; there might not be a country; much less a leader.

The earthquake is 5 miles from the Dez Dam
Built in 60s by the Italians.

If a 9.0 hit, the next “dude” wouldn’t have the opportunity to take ahmadnutjob’s place.

this is a deep quake (7.5 miles), along the coast - unlikely nuclear test related.

It can be in any range they are looking at the vibration signature,a explosion registers different than 2 rock masses rubbing together, makes sense...
