Redmass Group reports a startling endorsement from the mayor of the seventh largest city in Massachusetts:
James Sheets a six term Democratic mayor of Quincy today endorsed Scott Brown for United States Senator. He released the following statement via the Brown campaign:
"Despite being a lifelong member of the Democratic Party, I am endorsing Scott Brown for Senate, as I know he will always represent Massachusetts with an independent voice in Washington," Sheets said. "Martha Coakley has repeatedly stated she would cast the critical 60th vote for the current health care proposal that would slash Medicare funding by nearly half-a-trillion dollars and dramatically impact the care so many seniors rely upon in their final years. As our United States Senator, I am confident Scott Brown will only support legislation that will benefit his constituents, and this is why I will be voting for him on Tuesday."
That Republican would be Ray Kasperowicz from Cohasset. He’s our accountant. You will be hearing more about him soon. Strong fiscal Conservative.
!!!!! right back at ya. Sheets is a former mayor. Current mayor is “Koch” pronounced coke. Don’t know his stance on this election but this great. One of the best homemade signs yesterday was a guy who was onstage before the sports heroes and Scott arrived...and it read “Life-long Democrat voting for Scott Brown:! I’m telling yo folks this is going to be HUGE VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m debating going to the victory party or not...we’ll get information later where it is...but I’m really considering it....I’ve been really excited this weekend and this could really TOP IT OFF!
Thanks for the ping onyx!
The present mayor of Quincy is Tommy Koch. - Tom
“A Dem with a brain.” I doubt it...just a Dem who knows when to evacuate a sinking ship.
You had told me that your accountant from Cohasset was running against Delahunt, which is why I pinged you. Has Ray Kasperowicz declared his candidacy and launched a website? I ask because Politics1.com does not yet list anyone as running against Delahunt.
Freakin’ PRICELESS! Thanks Snurple.
Just Beauitful. There is nothing more to say. This is the first of many days of reckoning for the left in this country. They have united us. Conservative leaning Dems, Republicans,Conservatives,Independents, and Libertarians have united into a juggernaut. America is rising on a sea of liberty. The sovereign citizens are taking back the reigns of government.
Oh, please go to the victory party!
It’s been a long time coming and you deserve to be there!
((( HUGS )))
Actually they were born in Braintree Ma. Quincy was spun off as a separate town after they were born..
The Adamses were born in what was then known as Braintree, but they were born in the part of Braintree that later was incorporated as Quincy (when Braintree was shrunk to its current size).
BTW, after tomorrow, you may have to change your screen name. : )
Has the Patriot Ledger made an endorsement?
No idea.
I didn’t understand the first time devolve
well if you put it that way, I’ll get there!
OH YES, PLEASE!
I will be thinking of you and awaiting a report!!!
Think of it as your historical contribution to a grand celebration.
Love it !! I never thought of that.
The thing that Brown has going for him is that he really comes across as intelligent, honorable, down-to-earth and competent.
