ROSEVILLE, Calif. (AP) - A driver whose SUV plunged into a Northern California creek after he was startled by his hands-free cell phone device escaped the sinking vehicle by blasting out the window with a handgun. The 28-year-old man, whose name wasn't immediately available, is an armed security guard at Thunder Valley Casino, north of Sacramento. He sustained minor injuries in Sunday's accident.

Not trying to be funny, but I DO think about things like this:
If I am faced with a home invader and I use my 12 gauge shotgun in self defense . . . I am supposed to call 911 and report it immediately. After that thing goes off a few times in a 12x14 room, how is one supposed to hear that faint voice on the phone???

Wear a set of electronic hearing protectors. After I tried a set, I use them all the time. Not only do they protect your ears, they give you a tactical advantage by giving you electronically enhance hearing.
I shot a rat in a galvanized trash can with a .22 and my ears rang for the better part of a day.
