According to a top Brown campaign adviser, there are "longer lines outside Boston than inside. Not good sign for Coakley. Scott's voters highly motivated."

A Democratic source says get-out-the-vote efforts have been good for Coakley, but adds, "I don't know if the machine gets you 10 points."

I think he said she organized an exploratory committee 6 months before he died.

I’ve asked people who thought I should vote no matter what: If I were a Jew, should I vote for Hitler or Stalin?

Hitler or Stalin? they weren't even from the same country... so are you saying that Massachusetts was better off with Ted Kennedy, or that it would be better off with Coakley than with Brown? if you are saying that all three are the same, then how is Massachusetts any worse off with Brown?

Brown 51.5
Croakly 48
Kennedy 1.5

Identical to the prediction I posted on another thread last night. GMTA or whatever.

I will wait before I celebrate, but if Scott Brown wins tonight, I will raise a glass of Johnnie Walker Black.

If {God help us} he doesn't, I'll drink the whole damn bottle of Grey Goose, and call 911 for a stomach pump.

I know they are not from the same country. I’m saying what if that were your choice, who would you vote for.

To put it a different way, considering the choices I have in the state of Washington, who would I vote for?

The answer?

I bought a small farm in rural central Kentucky.

Too bad this isn’t Japan. Martha’s aide would push her head down on the chopping block and lop it off...in short, she would get the same treatment she is selling to the unborn and those over sixty who are not politically connected.

The question is rhetorical, but the point is made.

“...I will raise a glass of Johnnie Walker Black.”

Me too! And I live in Washington. I still have 3/4 of a bottle. We buy it every time we fly to Chicago.

Compared to Coakley? Trust me the people of this state will gain the most with a Brown win.

Yeah, I agree. It’s just that the bar is so mind-numbingly low now.

Right, forget the crap the RINOs spount like Huckabee and Michael Medved, there are Freepers here with that mindset; basically anyone who voted for Romeny, needs to wake up that you needa strong conservative which at the time was Frded Thompson. Period!

I still think he may lose because of vote fraud. Menino will pull out all of the SEIU/ACORN stops. The other fascists around the state will also steal what they can for Coakley.

There are too many folks like him on this forum. They cannot stand good news or promising news. I call them "conservative purists". Unless a candidate matches their every standard, they are puke, RINO or worse.

Their constant whining gets annoying. The only thing better is when the good news happens anyway and they choke in their own bile.

No, I disagree. Whatever positions Brown would take as Senator, they would be a step above Kennedy. So MA residents would benefit from his election.

Besides...they aren’t really stuck with him. IF he wins he’s there only 3 years and then he’s up for election again. Considering it’s heavily Democratic there it is by no means certain he can win again and during a presidential year.

I read that 23% of Democrats were crossing over, and Rush said Brown was leading Coakley 69-28 amongst Independents.

>>You are kidding of course<<

Nope. And the reason I gave was just one.

I thought, before the election, we were royally screwed, no matter who won. I warned my republican friends that whoever won this thing, no matter what they did, would find their party with the millstone around it’s neck in short order.

And I expect things to be VERY bad in this country by Summer.

Yes.

Too many posters here would say they wouldn't support him, because the polls showed he couldn't win.

Politicians follow polls, leaders move them.
