It’s a piteous situation indeed.
Barack Obama did the best thing he has done all year when he opened up the quota of Haitian orphans for adoption.
What about the Haitians themselves adopting children? The entire island is not destroyed by the earthquake. There have to be plenty of families that can take these children.
What about other countries? The Dominican Republic, Cuba, Brazil, etc.
