We Need Scott Brown Rallies on His Route to Washington DC
1/20/09 | Myself

Posted on 01/20/2010 3:29:46 AM PST by gridlock

It would be great if we could organize a series of rallies all up and down the I-95 Corridor to cheer Scott Brown on as he drive the truck down to Washington DC. He is supposed to be driving down Thursday or Friday, so time is obviously short.

Maybe it is just a fantasy, but wouldn't it be grand to have a Scott Brown Truck Tour, so all of the folks who weren't lucky enough to be in Massachusetts to vote for him got a chance to come out and show their support?

Think of all the free publicity, and the fear it would strike into the hearts of the Congressional Democrats, if Scott Brown's drive to Washington was applauded at every turn, even in their own districts?

How would Frank Pallone of the New Jersey Sixth Congressional District react if 5,000 people turned out in Edison, New Jersey (Exit 10, New Jersey Turnpike) to cheer on Scott and his truck?

How would Frank Kratovil of the Maryland Fifth Congressional District feel if 10,000 people turned out in Harve de Grace (Exit 89 off I95) showed up to welcome Scott Brown to Maryland?

It could be hugh! I'm series!!!

Fantastic idea! Let's email the Brown campaign website as a start and see what they think.

Scott Brown needs a puppet of 0bama peeking out from under his truck for the ride to DC.

Email him and see if he is up for it. My wife and I were discussing it too. How about a welcome in DC as well, so all the other Critters could look out their window and see his reception.

If I weren’t on the I-90 corridor in Montana I’d be there!

I’m in. And make sure the route takes goes straight through Manhattan, past City Hall and down the Canyon of Heroes.

The RNC should be notified too...In fact they should have thought of it already!

I'm going to try and call the Quinn And Rose Morning show in Pittsburgh this morning to float the idea. Howsabout some of us calling some of the national shows?

I’m going to his campaign website to send an e-mail now. We should send a few of them, though, because I am sure he is being inundated with congratulatory e-mails this morning.

MORE good ideas on THIS thread:
How Scott Brown can make it absolutely, positively, 100% sure the Dems won't delay seating him..:

...Wednesday morning, at 7am, Scott and his lovely wife should climb into his truck, gas it up, then head down I-95, acompanied by a caravan of supporters ( and a whole slew of news reporters and helicopters ) drive right in Washington DC, pull right up to the Senate, ask the Capital Hill police where senators are supposed to park, and annouince that he's ready to start work immediately..

Think about it. An absolutely brilliant maneuver...it would garner national attention.

Remember watching the Ryder truck drive the Florida ballots up to the courthouse?

This would be 100x better.

OK, sound off..and hopefully someone can pass this onto the Brown campaign...

Republican Scott Brown has been running ads in Massachusetts where he is out driving around in his old pickup truck while campaigning for US Senator something Marcia Martha Coakley refuses to do.

On Sunday Barack Obama slammed Scott Brown and his truck several times in his Bush-bashing campaign speech for Martha Coakley.

Obama - Everybody Can Buy A Truck

Maybe Barack Obama didn't notice that Scott Brown's truck is a GM truck.

I've been trying to phone but not surprisingly the email boxes are filled. Office hours start at 9AM IIRC.

Hey, "regular Joes" like us can organize Tea Parties and Freeps - this should be a piece of cake.
Just need his itinerary and we can have the longest Freep/Tea Party in history - Boston to DC along the I-95 corridor.

I think most of the herding in the next couple years are going to be the socialists out of DC. BBQ dems anyone?
