I would simply point out that he is among the top ten percentile in intelligence. :)
Just saying “Progressive” would have captured the essence of your original point without conflating a religion into it. Everyone knows most Jews are “Progressive”, but the movement is not a religiously based one. So leave the “Jewish” out of it, and innocent statements will not have a whiff of anti-Semitism in the air.
Kinda like ever using the phrase “final solution” in any context. Just raises some hackles for no actual purpose.
OBTW - I think we’re down to 80% reflexive leftists...
