Impressive Media Malpractice at March For Life
American Thinker ^ | 1/23/2010 | Jack Cashill

Posted on 01/23/2010 11:16:48 AM PST by Elvina

In January 2009 we brought a six-camera crew to Washington to create a documentary on the subject of the annual March for Life called Thine Eyes.

What motivated Steve Sanborn, the organizer of the project and a March veteran, was the media's historic failure to capture the numbers, the demographics or the spirit of the marchers.

With the advantage of rooftop cameras, we estimated there were about 350,000 participants, about 75 percent of whom were under 25, with more females than males among the young people. I also assigned our six cameramen to find as many pro-abortion protestors as they could. Although we looked hard, none of us could identify a single such protestor. USA Today found a rag tag handful and gave them equal billing.

In covering the 2010 March, the media have morphed from laziness and incompetence to outright fraud. Someone should be fired.

Let us start with Krista Gesaman writing for Newsweek. Her headline sums up the utter absurdity of her thesis, "Missing at the 'Roe v. Wade' Anniversary Demonstrations? Young Women." Twisting the words of a police organizer, she informs the reader that "a majority of the participants are in their 60s."

This leads Gesaman to conclude, "So this raises the question: where are the young, vibrant women supporting their pro-life or pro-choice positions? Likely, they're at home." All Gesaman had to do was stick her head out the window to know otherwise.

Having been in Washington for the March this year, I can assure Gesaman that the demographics matched last year's, Young women were everywhere and unavoidable. They filled every hotel lobby in town. Many of them had spent countless hours on busses to get there.

CNN's Rick Sanchez also deserves sacking for malpractice. During the 3PM ET hour of CNN's Rick's List on Friday, Sanchez acknowledged that it was the 37th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade, then asked, "both sides being represented today, but it does appear to me, as I look at these signs that - which side is represented the most. . . . Do we know?"

As Sanchez deliberated, CNN's cameras seemed to have found the same disgruntled crew of pro-abortion protestors that USA Today had found the year before. After the commercial break, Sanchez finally conceded that although he had not "gone out and counted signs individually," most of the protestors "seem to be anti-abortion activists."

Rick, we counted the protestors last year. The numbers broke out roughly 350,000 pro-life to 5 pro-abort. Krista, at least 100.000 of these protestors were young women. To verify, please check thineeyes.org. You don't even have to leave your offices -- not that you would.

I’m thinking that USA Today didn’t just stumble across a group of pro-choice protestors, ragtag or not. I’m thinking they phoned up some Planned Barrenhoods and the like and asked for them.

This is likely. From what I have heard from the Marchers, it is very difficult to find any pro-aborts on January 22 in Washington DC. It’s difficult to get excited about being in favor of slaughtering babies these days. I think it’s starting to be an uncool position among the youth.

There are always a couple of dozen baby killers at the SUpreme Court getting equal time from the Goebells crew while hundreds of thousands of pro lifers march by. It is the same every year and every year the lying sacks representing the MSM perpetuate the lie and hide the truth. But their day is coming.

It's Pro-life malpractice!

When are the Pro-Life people going to learn?

When the Iron Curtain fell the first sites taken were the TV and radio stations. So?...What should the Pro-Lifers be doing?

They should be marching in NEW YORK in front of the doors of CNN, ABC, and MSNBC! There should be a half million people standing in front to the house where the CEOs live!

Finally,...The Pro-life people need to **WIN** elections! That means:

**Doing the grunt work of purging fraudulent registrations from the voter roles and vigorously pursuing legal action against voting fraud.

** Manning the polls on election day and guarding and accounting for every vote.

** Getting every Republican to the polls to vote.

It is singing to the crowd here, but there is NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING, on the major Media outlets, newspapers, and broadcast, which should be taken as credible. They know they are the window to the world for millions and millions of ignorant, lazy, and provincial, people. And can interject their agenda on whatever window they elect.

All one has to do is go to war, travel, listen, observe, and it becomes obvious. Or go to the airport and watch the stupid blonds and political setups babble unending on CNN. They love catastrophe too, so much they subconsciously crave it.

Many of the same people who became teary-eyed over yesterday's dog rescue are cold as ice to the deaths of millions of unborn humans. Go figure.

From what I have heard from the Marchers,

I was there, yesterday.

Again.

I marched about 25 -75 yards behind the main banner, and behind the "I regret my abortion" group. I wandered around in front of the Supreme Court for a while.

As usual.

I have seen the 'bad guys' before ... they're usually profane, obscene, and ugly. I didn't see any of them this year.

I wouldn't put it past the Dishonest Media to recycle tape from last year.

I wasn't at the march but was on and off Capitol Hill much of the day. Judging by street and metro traffic, the marchers were a relatively young group, median age twenty-something, and majority female. A lot of little kids as well.

If you want to see geriatrics on parade, go to just about any union-sponsored rally.

Just like the PETA types who defend the helpless animals, but ignore the helpless humans.

Watched the March on EWTN ... from some of the interviews, gathered there is fresh optimism because of the presence of so many young people in the March. One young Mom talked about being confronted outside an abortion clinic by Pro-Life people ... she was persuaded to keep her baby, now in a stroller and named Jeremiah. Mom was overjoyed to talk about her decision ... God was prominently mentioned throughout the day. Men were much in evidence, too.

Galatians 6:9 ~ “And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.”

I saw Jeremiah on EWTN too. So many unborn faces that we will never see...praying that some women in crisis pregnancies will change their minds and give their babies life as a result of the incredible witnesses this weekend.

I agree wintertime.

It is time to change tactics.

Hold office holders and those running for office accountable.
Make them sign pro-life pledges.
Run Pro-life candidates against those that refuse.
Support pro-life candidates with campaign donations and votes.
Abortion is intrinsically evil and those that support it must be defeated.
We must get pro-life candidates elected locally, then work on the state legislative bodies to change the dynamics at the state level.

Pro-Life must organise more efficiently at the National, State and County level to funnel resources (money, legal teams, protesters) to better fight the Culture of Death forces that are imposing their minority view on the majority!

Defeat CINO’s (Christian In Name Only)candidates!
Repeal Roe v. Wade!
