Sarah has always gone against the flow...

the same could be said of John McCain... only she has gone against the flow of liberalism, he of his own party... but she's now on his side...

Well you can google the Arpaio/Thomas mess for yourself and decide.

And if you think that it helps you to see where I’m coming from you are mistaken.

I’m an establishment Republican.

So was Nelson Rockefeller.

Yeah imagine I actually voted for McCain over Obama for President. When you and the moral absolutists on FR can come up with a more viable conservative party than the Republicans with candidates to vote for, ping me.

Wise up Sparky, nearly EVERYone on FR held their nose and voted the GOP ticket in November '08 because we all knew what the alternative was, which was the 0bamunist thugs who are in the process of tearing our Nation apart. Nobody in their right mind believed that any of the fringe candidates like Chuck Baldwin or Bob Barr had a prayer.

But as the saying goes, "that was then, this is NOW" and with a true conservative challenging McStain in the GOP primary, there shouldn't be any question about who to vote for, and that SHOULD be (for anyone with a room temperature IQ or higher) for J.D. Hayworth.

So perhaps as one of the few McCain supporters here on FR, you might enlighten the rest of us neanderthals as to WHY, with a primary challenger more conservative than McCain, anyone would prefer to vote for the likes of the senile, liberal, sell-out Senator that has been stabbing us all in the back for decades?!?

Have the courage of your convictions, convince us why we should vote for McCain instead of J.D. Hayworth, a REAL conservative?

Arpaio is the people’s hero here in Arizona. He’s probably the most beloved character in politics. He’s the ONLY one to stand up for us against illegals and now that they are finding Chinese being smuggled across the border, anyone not standing for closing the borders is going to be OUT.

The Palin worshipers, similar to the Obama worshipers, are now rooting for McCain cause Palin is on his team. Pitiful. What a bunch of fake hooey! Better to find out now than after Palin sticks us with Romney!

Isn't that funny? I've lived in Arizona all my life and been a registered republican for over 40 years and never realized that I needed your permission to be a republican. Ping you? LOL

That talk is not helpful and just who are the Palin "worshipers" who are now rooting for McCain as you have charged?

I’d like to hear the answer to that question myself.

A viable conservative party obviously would be one without McCain! What are you afraid of?

I cast my first vote at 18 in CA. And then I moved to AZ. We have three big Republican primaries facing us in Maricopa County: the governor’s race; Shagedd’s seat; and now a US senate seat.

I feel money better spent would be Hayworth vs Mitchell in the general.

I’m not afraid of anything.

And who would you run against McCain since most Arizonans don’t want him to represent us anymore?

There isn’t a legitimate answer because it’s not true. It was a blanket statement “maybe” made in haste for reasons unbeknownst to me, but that kind of talk isn’t helpful and that was my point.

Dang, I am releived to hear that from you. It’s not what I have encountered here from Palin and Brown supporters lately. I thought we were totally losing the forrest for the trees!

How do you feel about Palin supporting Juan? I am disappointed as heck.

I just learned last night about John Shadegg not running for reelection from machogirl (I think).

I was completely surprised! I’ve always liked him.

Do you know if he plans to run for another office in the near future?

Now he’s someone I could support for US Senate.
