Has Obama become bored with being president?
Washington Examiner ^ | 1/29/10 | Byron York

This is about the time Barack Obama becomes bored with his job.

He's in his second year as president, and he's discovered that even with all the powers of office, he can't do everything he wants to do, like remake America. Doing stuff is hard. In the past, prosaic work has held little appeal for Obama, and it's prompted him to think about moving on.

snip

According to the book, the majority leader invited Obama to his office for a talk. "You're not going to go anyplace here," Reid told Obama. "I know that you don't like it, doing what you're doing." Reid suggested Obama run for president. Obama had been a senator for all of 18 months at the time.

snip

As he became frustrated in each job, Obama concluded that the problem was not having the power to do the things he wanted to do. So he sought a more powerful position.

Today he is in the most powerful position in the world. Yet he has spent a year struggling, and failing, to enact far-reaching makeovers of the American economy. So now, even in the Oval Office, there are signs that the old dissatisfaction is creeping back in.

snip

But throughout his life, his reaction to frustration has been to look for a bigger job. What does he do now?

Life is tough when you are handed everything because you are a light-skinned, clean, articulate, non-negro dialect speaking guy.

I fit that description, but no one's ever handed a damn thing to me. I've busted my hump my whole life for what little I have, though with no regrets, I might add.

Black men like Obama are creating a long-term public relations nightmare for guys like me. I fear that in years to come, people will write me off with prejudice, simply because I fit the profile.

Barack and his ilk are trying to divide this country, I do not believe they are succeeding. Along racial or economic lines.
They are pitting producers against takers. The takers are realizing that Barack is killing the golden goose, and the producers are realizing that he is killing the producers economically.

I base my perceptions on character not on skin color, or group think. If you treat me fairly I will treat you fairly.

I believe that there are more productive citizens that believe as I do, than believe as zeroes minions.

I have the had the privilege to work with and beside many of different skin colors that do not judge a person by color but character. In my job/professional life I work with folks from India,China, polynesia and other places.
All they ask is that I do my job, all I ask is that they do theirs.

In the end character or lack of character is all that matters.

Be true to yourself, or the way I express to my contemporaries, if at the end of the day I can look in the mirror and say that I did not screw my fellow man/woman, I did good today.

By the way I often lately need to remind myself about the above.

Love the thought of that being so, but then, why did the Dems give him all of those standing ovations at the SOTU address, if they're all plotting and scheming to depose him?

Reminds me of the Russian Duma standing and clapping for Stalin for over three hours because the first one to stop clapping would be considered treasonous and incur certain death via a trip to the gulags.

He is Mussolini-esque in every regard. It is fine when one is rising, but fatal after reaching the top.

I’m saying this without personal sentiment, this will end up badly. Like a Shakespearean Tragedy. I just hope America is spared.

“It’s gonna be a tough three years. “

But we can make it TOUGH on him BACK!

Massachusetts was just a little taste of what is to come.

Make the SOB suffer more until he is sobbing to leave office. Already you can tell he has this “It wasn’t supposed to be like this” dazed look. I think his own party is getting extremely worried about this educated idiot in charge.

I fear that in years to come, people will write me off with prejudice, simply because I fit the profile.

My prayers to the LORD involve the sparing of America from the policies of Barack Obama, and national forgiveness for the foolishness of those who voted for him because they thought he was "cool", or simply because of the color of his skin while ignoring his intentions.

I see people abandoning his policies, not shunning his color. It's why I'm proud to be a conservative - fulfilling Dr. Martin Luther King's dream of judging someone solely on the content of their character.

Although Obama certainly has the capability to be divisive, I also trust in the LORD that he can use this for the purpose of racial harmony, that we all would learn that how someone looks is not as important as how someone conducts themselves.

May this be true in your situation, FRiend.

His persona is flat as a flounder. His speeches are monumentally boring. He’s articulate in the sense that he can pronounce words correctly but he is far, very far from being inspiring. He’s seemed bored from the very beginning. There just doesn’t seem to be much character in his character. Is he smart? Yes , maybe in a dry, academic way. But big woop, lots of people are. I predict he’ll fumbel around for another year as his popularity continues it’s long, boring decline and then bam, three years in a huge, corruption scandal will engulf him and his administration.

He’ll spend his last year in office trying to save what few tattered and soiled shreds of worth he can save and then leave the office in disgrace, declining to run for re-election because by then he’ll will have no mojo left.

His feeble attempt at playing president willl result in a career flogging phony accomplishments on the lecture circuit bring into speaking fees far less than what he anticipated going into office

“Black men like Obama are creating a long-term public relations nightmare for guys like me. I fear that in years to come, people will write me off with prejudice, simply because I fit the profile.”

You know, that is the insidious rottenness of Obama. What he is doing to the black half of his heritage. Wouldn’t you know, the first half minority person to be elected to the Presidency is really red and brown (commie and fascist). What a great role model for future Black candidates. Our country has finally gotten to the point of being mostly color blind and now, after this guy gets done with our country via his socialist policies and attempts to turn us into a socialist country, no one is going to trust another person of color for a long time. They will mix together his social policies with his being a minority with axes to grind against his own country.

So future minority candidates running for President are going to bear the stigma of having had Obama as their groundbreaker, and have an extra burden to overcome because of him. It’s sad but true. Wonder when all the minorities figure out how he has set back their chances for higher office (the Presidency) for a generation or two. This isn’t fair, but who said life was fair.

“...top leading Democrats and not those necessarily holding office are up to their ears it how can we rid ourselves of him...”

This is a red flag and very dangerous.

I have always feared that once Obama became a negative for the Progressives/Communists, that his life would be in danger. He will be more valuable to them as a martyr than as a functioning President.
