I thought all states had a law requiring that drivers must pay full time and attention to driving.
The notation would seem to indicate that a separate law is required for prohibiting eating, putting on make-up, disciplining children or pets, reading, and talking on a cell phones.
Looked into that a while back, in our state at least “distracted driving” is an offense, but it’s not something they can pull you over for i.e. “primary offense” or something like that. Don’t know why that is. Have seen people reading books in times past, and doing other stupid things. Have a motorcycle but don’t ride it much anymore, basically because of that kind of thing, in town at least.
