MIAMI When Jeb Bush left office four years ago, his public appearances were as scarce as bi-partisan man hugs.
He didn't want to upstage his successor in the governor's mansion nor his brother in the White House. Instead, he quietly cashed in by joining corporate boards and an elite speakers bureau, penned policy essays and gave infrequent interviews to conservative media.
But in recent months, as the Republican Party of Florida has grappled with a leadership vacuum, Bush's political profile has grown as fast as the national deficit ...

Now, I've always thought you were better informed than to fall for the media lies about the "Mission Accomplished" banner.
Deja vu all over again....................
NO MORE CLINTONS. NO MORE KENNEDY’S
Jeb must be delusional.
He can always go be the president of Haiti or go to hell. Same difference.
No more Bushes - ever.
I just don’t care if he is the most conservative of them.
Our country’s cosnervative values has been served up for slicing up by this family of disaster.
Another Reagan would be fine or a Thatcher if there was one born in this country, but NO MORE BUSHES.
Right. Two Bushes were more than enough. We don’t need another RINO in the pack to muddy up the waters.
This is one thing on which we can agree with DU, no more Bushes!
Stay out da Bushes...
Not even giving him another look ... No More Bushes.
I wish the media would quit with all their RINO humping.
Please oh please....no more compassionate conservatism will ya.
Agreed - thanks but no thanks.
I was not a fan of Bush I. I like George Bush,II. From what I have read over the years I think I would like his brother even more. I see no one in the Republican field that would do as good a job has Jeb.
That said, he has no chance.
Maybe a cabinet job, but not President or Vice President.
No more family dynasties.
“Stay out da Bushes.”
I don’t mind if another Bush runs, like maybe Jenna in 2028.
Man we’re going to have a SLEW of candidates in 2012.
I have no particular objections to the performances of the other Bushes as presidents. I do object to family dynasties, especially in a country with over 300,000,000 people. Its not as if therre aren’t others out there.
We need someone who is a true conservative, and I do not trust the Bush family any more. Not only do they wobble on conservative core principles, but they commit cardinal sins of hiring B and C players and then become stubbornly loyal to them. We need an A-plus conservative who is dedicated to having nothing but A-plus players in every appointment they can make.
“What is it with this family, they think they’re the Kennedys? ...”
My exact reaction. Enough of the political royalty. Jeb, your family is wealthy, you’ll be ok, go start a business and be productive.
No more Clintons, no more Bushes, no more Marxists...
Conservative or Bust in 2012.
Thank you for exactly saying what I thought when I saw this article. These family dynasties are like monarchies without the pomp and circumstance.
Glad to see I’m in agreement with a lot of my Freeper brothers and sisters. No more Bushes!
We be done wida Bushes!
Just say “no!” to dynasties!
It will never never never happen. Jeb Bush won’t be running against a democrat, he’ll be running against his brother, and multibillions have been spent already on that campaign.
Imma B President someday!
“Mission Accomplished” was a major screwup without the lies.
I will never vote for another Bush as long as I live. America does not need another globalist traitor in the White House.
NO MORE BUSHES! They are ALL part of the elite, progressive, NWO agenda.
Don’t get me wrong, I liked GW Bush, but he did his fair share of putting us on the path we’re on now.
NO THANK YOU!!
W’s brother Jeb for prez makes the idea of Scott Brown’s brother for CT senator look good.
Why not Meghan McCain instead?
MA was the event that proved once and for all that Democrats would still attack the military for political reasons, and that the MSM would report lies and deceive readers in order to help Democrats.
What slogan would have been better for a battleship that was being decommissioned after a long, storied, successful run of service?
Speaking of lies.
How about a conservative with a nice bust?
Still haven’t seen anyone worthy for 2012. I hope someone emerges at some point, but none of these people get it.
That “Mission Accomplished” banner was put on display on the carrier USS Abraham Lincoln prior to a televised speech given by George W. Bush on the ship on May 1, 2003.
The speech announced the end of major combat operations in Iraq. The guerilla war soon followed.
I always understood that it was the sailors who placed the banner on display, prior to George W’s visit.
Right, No more Bush.
In which country is he thinking of running, The USA or Mexico?
